He watched her with furrowed eyebrows as she slept. He wondered if she'd wake up again and if so when. And then he found himself longing for a time that seemed so far away from reach now. A time where their greatest worry was to get through the day without being sent away to a closed unit. Comparing now to back then might seem baffling to some. But to them, they'd much rather be back to when they were locked in the mental hospital.

They were locked away from the world, which might seem like a prison in that sense, but atleast they were comforted by the thought that the world was also locked away from reaching them with all its evil. But then again, maybe it wasn't the world that was evil, maybe they were the ones that broke the evil out with them when they escaped out to the world.

Maybe they were to blame and not the world after all.

One of his hands were absentmindedly tracing patterns over her limp hand. The one that felt so cold against his warm one. But then his intense gaze shifts from her face that was contorted in pain and up to meet those blue eyes of his friend.

"What are you hiding?" He was always one to get straight to the point.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you..."

The blue eyed boy averted his gaze, landing it instead on the brunette lying down on the small bed. Small enough that if she were to turn to her side, she'd fall off it. But then again that bed probably wasn't meant for a comfortable goodnight sleep.

"You can't or you won't?"

Blaze clenched his jaw at the accusation laced with the brown eyed boy's tone of voice. But he tried to remind himself that Dylan wasn't aware of what happend and so he can't really hold him accountable for his anger.

"It's not my secret to tell, Dylan"

Blaze shakes his head, hoping the brown eyed boy would just leave it at that.

"Secret..."

The brown eyed boy whispers under his breath, in a tone so low, even the blue eyed boy couldn't hear him. But his whisper wasn't meant for anyone to hear anyways as his gaze lingered on the sleeping brunette. Wondering just how many more secrets they have to hide from each other before those very same secrets eventually cause them trouble.

But he couldn't really be hurt that she was keeping something from him, after all he had his own secrets that he was hiding from her as well. It seemed like secrets were the normal thing in their relationship despite there being a time when they used to share everything. When did things change, he wanted to ask, but to whom he wasn't sure. Hell, he wasn't even sure anyone would know the answer to his question.

Meanwhile in a room close by, three people occupied it. Elora, Parker and Ivana. Elora was sitting on a chair, anxiously waiting for either Parker or Ivana to tell her anything. She wasn't really sure what she expected the blood test and some other tests Ivana did on her with the help of Parker, would bring.

Would she finally get the answer as to what exactly is happening to her and why even her in the first place?

Minutes had passed where she just sat there on the chair, her knees bobbing up and down anxiously in wait. She wished Rhea would've been here with her, she would've known how to calm her down. But she was back home as her mother was getting worried with how much time she's spent away. Blaze refused she left alone at first, but then Rhea stood her ground and told him she'd be fine on her own. A part of the blue eyed boy was hurt and Elora thought she knew why.
