In the darkness the whole world could've blown away in a thunder storm and yet he wouldn't take notice of it. And the darkness drowning him ate up everything in its path. It didn't show any mercy as it destroyed everything and everyone in its wake. The darkness felt like a damp, thick blanket that was suffocating him and stealing away his breath to it's very last. And the silence was like the breeze of winter that crawled through an open window.

His eyes that were so used to the darkness squint from the sudden glare of light. However small, it was there and far off. It almost felt like he was drowning in an abyss of darkness with no way out. It was so dark that he couldn't even see his own hands and he wondered if the darkness was also the reason he couldn't feel much either. Slowly the small light at the far end started growing more intensely until he couldn't bear look at it anymore. His eyes snap shut as his arm lift up to block his eyes.

The light was making it's way so quickly towards him, he felt dizzy, as it ate away the darkness in its path and he was no longer drowning in a dark abyss but rather swimming in a pool of light. After what felt like hours or maybe even an eternity does he slowly start opening his eyes to take in the lit up place around him. Yet he was only to be left confused at the sight his eyes fell on.

The place however no longer bathed in darkness, yet there was nothing surrounding him. His confusion only seemed to intensify the throbbing pain gradually but surely growing in his head. His frantic brown orbs soon stop on stumbling upon a figure in the far distance. The figure's back was to him and so he couldn't see who they were. Yet he had almost like a gut feeling nagging at him at the very back of his head that he knew that figure.

A man materializes before the figure still giving him their back, but the man's face was one he could see and remember, one that was responsible for a lot of the pain he had to suffer in his life. Everything happened way too quickly after that, the figure with their back to the brown eyed boy suddenly fell to the ground. His brown orbs imidiatelly travelling up to the man still standing, now the knife he was holding clear in his hand.

His gaze followed the slow drip of blood from the knife and down to the ground to fill up a pool of crimson horror around the figure lying on the ground. The blood droplets acting like a sickening echo around the once eerily silent place.

His hands shaking, his body trembling for a reason he wasn't sure of. Pushing himself off the ground, he tries to make his way towards the figure on wobbly legs. It almost felt like forever of shaky steps until he finally made it. But when he did, he wished if he never did. And whatever strength he still managed to maintain vanishes and his knees give out from beneath him. And its like all air chose to leave his lungs and leave him suffocating at the sight of the figure lying before him comes into focus.

Her brown hair flowing around her pale face, the tips of it coated crimson. His breathing becomes more shallow and painful as his own personal hurricane took over his world. His trembling hands coated in a thick coat of blood as he scrambled to put pressure on her wound. Willing her wound to heal and stitch itself back up with his shaky hands. His breaths come out in gasps as the edge of his vision start to darken and the cold crawl of the thought that he'd soon black out come thrashing inside his mind. However strong he fights the darkness, not willing to leave her to drown in the pool of blood of his own making, light always seemed to find a way to leave him stranded and allow darkness to drown him instead.

.

Like someone who was drowning only to be pulled back up to the surface, he takes in greedy gasps of air. His vision slowly return and his blurry surrounding become of focus. The darkness not as it was and instead a small light illuminated the place from above him. Following the direction from where light came from, he noticed it was a flickering light bulb.
