Kaden's POV
When we reached Starbucks, Demi, Simon, and the group's manager were there.
What is happening?
"Goodmorning, ladies and guys." Simon greeted
"Hey!" Demi greeted and we just said hi and good morning. Talk about keeping it formal.
"So, what's up? Why'd you want me to bring Pentatonix?" I asked trying to be polite
"So, uh, we talked their manager, Jake." Demi started and we turned to Jake
" They offered us a record deal that last for five years." He said excitedly
"Woah, no shit." I said
"But you have competition. They are offering this to us because your contract at Sony will end in a few months."
"Who are we against?" Scott asked
"Uh, Avicii and Ellie Goulding."
"Whoa. Those guys are big."
"That's why we are giving you the opportunity. So is it yes or a no?"
"Can we talk about it first?" Avi asked
"Sure thing." Simon smiled and they transferred to another table. I was left with Simon and Demi.
"So Kaden..." Demo started "yes or no?"
"Uh, how long is the season gonna be?" I asked
"It'll only be for 3months. We're just coming back because of the petition." Simon explained
"Yes, if, you promise that I won't be back for the next season." I say
"Why?"
"After this season, I need to go back to school and finish High School." I said "At least High School."
They looked at each other.
"Deal." Simon said extending out his arm which I took. Demi hugged me and whispered "We're gonna give Simon a large pain in the ass." And then pulled away, smiling. Jake and the others came back.
"They'll take it." Jake said happily
"Very well then, we'll call you up next week to have the signing." Simon said.
Demi was left with us.
"So, I hear you guys are doing a live stream today. Can I come and watch?" She asked. We looked at each other, smiling
"Of course!" We said and walked out. We changed the seating arrangement. It was Kevin and Demi sitting together and Mitch and I were at the trunk space. Scott drove off the venue and each people started their own conversation with the person beside them.
"Kade, I'm gonna ask you something."
"Yeah?"
"So um, I'm crushing on this girl, Scott and Kirstie knows about this, and were like years apart."
"Where's the question there?"
"You think I should tell her?"
"Well, she is a girl, does that mean she's kinda converting you?"
"Yeah."
"Well, how many years apart?"
"She's your age."
"I guess, well, be sure she's really converted you because if not, you'd eventually break up and you're gunna hurt her." Wow, words of wisdom. "who's she anyway?"
"Secret."
"Come on! Clue!"
"Okay, I met her on tour. Just that."
"Awwww." I said, just then his phone wrang. He looked at it, and he screamed
"Whoa. Calm down Mitch what happened?"
"I got the result from the DNA labs. It's a second opinion."
"Wait, is that about Kade being your sister?"
"Yes."
"I'm guessing by your scream that it's...." I trailed off
"Negative." He whispered.
"Whoa." Taylor said.
"Mitch?" I said, seeing a smile crept from his face. I'm happy that I'm not his sister because shit was really weird when we found out a false truth. "Are you okay?"
He said nothing but hugged me, tightly. So I awkwardly hugged him back and we pulled away.
Yes, this is good news.
