You held your small tome under your arms close to you right chest, shaking in your shoes. You were a Valmese mage, but you hardly had any backbone. In all honesty, you were dragged into the Yilssean-Valmese war due to your parents subordination with Conquer Walhart.

You took out the Arcwind nod pointed it in the direction of your supposed enemies at the Tree guarding the Devine Dragon herself, Tiki. He had white hair and closed eyes. You didn't want to be here, you didn't want to fire.

The soldier working with the frail and timid You was getting annoyed and just straightness up went to slice down the dark mage with his axe. The boy turned and used a dark magic tome Tom stop him and zap the nergy out of him. You cringed and tried to step beck in cowardice, burn the axeman yelled at you To do something.

You didn't do something. You tried to run. You tried to flee the sight. You never wanted to be dragged into war. But when you ran, you bumped into a knight from the other army. He was big, scary, and intimidating. You cowered on the ground Am day tried to crawl away slowly, but yet another soldier of the army helped corner you. A woman with red hair and a white stallion as a mount. She was even scarier than the armored knight. You tried to flee once more but a woman wearing a rather suggestive outfit for her pubecent body trapped you. The four walked in on you, trapping you. The white haired boy with eyes thst wouldn't open scared you most.

You wanted to escape

You wanted to live

You wanted to go home.

The knight and the cavalier grabbed each of your sides. The pubecent child and the creepy boy went in front of you. The girl took away your tomes and you whimpered. You didn't want to get hurts. You cringed, awaiting the contact that never came.

"Nyah ha! She's cringing so hard Nowi! Look!"

"Wow, she's really scared, huh? Maybe Chrom will let us keep her!"

"Slow down, Nowi."

"We don't need a wimpy skank like her in the Shepards!"

Skank?! You were about to yell at the cruse woman but your cowardice took over your vocal chords and you shrunk again. The Knight in large armor let you go and the cavities reluctantly did as well. You had no weapons.

The only reason the Valmese army kept you is because despite your extremely shy personality, you had magic beyond comprehension. You trembled in fear on the ground before these 'Shepards.' That's when a swordsman of blue approached. You've seen him before. You've had him wounded before due to your fearsome Bogalome tome you tucked away back at camp. He was their leader. You cringed and tried to shrink away. The only one who noticed was the white haired creepy boy.

"Don't be scared, well, never mind! You have a perfect reason to be scared! Nyah ha!"

Sully punched him in the arm. He surely had an odd sense of humor. Other soldiers gathered around. The blue swordsman walked up and saw you cowering. You tried to cover your face but then cavilier and knight held you up again. The white haired boy was examining you from behind the bluenette.

"Sully, pray Tell why we have a girl captured."

"Don't ask me! Ask that creepy little mage boy!"

The bluenette turned to the white haired creepy mage boy. He was shrugging. The pubecent child was now talking with other soldiers. Your weak arm should tried to struggle to break free, but to no avail.

"She had the chance to attack me while i was open, but didn't! I was thinking about how Robin finds allies on the field so I tired the same! Nyah ha!"

That laugh... the rest turned to you. The bluenette prince ordered you to be released. You shivered on the ground. The bluenette swordsman forced you to stand up on your feet, even with your weak knees. The white haired boy was jolly and content. The blue haired one handed you one of your times and had you attack a pole they set up. One at ten meters, one at fifty, and one at a hundred to test your ability. You just wanted to run away and go home.

"Shoot it, random mage, shoot it!"

The white haired boy chanted. A woman with pink hair hid behind a brunette swordsman. But she could sympathize with your fear right then. You felt the book tremble in your hands. Your trusty Arcwind to guide you.

You let the magic activate and flow in your viens. The familiar feeling made you feel almost at home. You let the wind magic flow in you as you raised your fingertips. You shot a powerful gust of wind blowing through the pole with ease and putting a powerful wind behind it. The white haired mage was cheering and the other soldiers were certainly impressed.

The more you let the magic control you, the more arm ease you were. You aimed your fingers at the second pole and watched it fly away in the powerful breeze you summoned from the book. Without further hesitation you shot down the one at hundred meters with even more force if possible.

You closed the book and felt the power fade from your person. You stepped back onto the ground without even realizing you were levitsting. You breathe out and looked back at your captors.

"Woah! That was cool! Can we keep her Chrom? Huh?"

The white haired boy was being energetic about this. The bluenette, apparently Chrom, sighed. You felt the confidence thst was brought into you when you were using your tome vanish. You cringe again Into your small frame.

"She's a captured soldier. She doesn't really have a choice, right Frederick?"

A brunette great knight who abruptly made his oresance known startled you.

"Not at all, Milord."

You didn't have a choice. You were a Shepard now. But over time you'd grow fond of a few people. For example, that white haired dark mage who took interest in you would visit you often to show you things like Risen arms and other weird curses.

His name? You'd learn later that he was Henry. But that was later, for now you were still a scared little thing.

For the first fic I think that was pretty great! Oh! I forgot to mention! Boldness before or after a one shot is an author's note. Sometimes I will intervene in the middle of a fic. Hope you loved it!
