Adelaide had made it to the school and sighed. She stepped out the car and glanced around the rustic castle look, made the place seem homely than her castle but she still clenched her fists at the idea of staying here. She looked around the large court way, guards stood watch and the golden gate sparkled, she looked around at the walls, covered in ivy, the green vines clambering to the top of the wall. She made a mental note of the guard's places before a cough caused her to turn around.
"Miss, would you like me to carry your suitcase in?" The driver asked, Adelaide shook her head her blonde hair cascading over her back.
"That's quite alright, thank you." She took the handle and grabbed her handbag before heading towards two large wooden doors. She pushed open the small opening door and headed to her new fate. She walked along the corridors and stopped at a class room, she stepped closer and stared at the students, she pulled her head back slightly and stared at the plaque by the side of the door, HADES – HISTORY. She smirked as a man stood at the front of the class his composure falling him until he burst into red hot flames, his shout echoing around the empty corridor. She stepped back startled, only to hit into a body behind her.
"I'm sorry!" She squeaked. The man had a gaunt look to him, clad in black. "I-" She stopped as he held up a bony finger.
"What are you doing out of class?" He said,
"I'm new... I just arrived this morning."
"New? Our new student arrived this morning, and HE showed up to the correct place." He said sneering down at Adelaide. She opened and shut her mouth like a codfish, words failing her. "School starts in the morning, not in the afternoon." Adelaide glanced behind him and stared into the class across the whole, she strained her eyes to see the clock and it was indeed, three in the afternoon.
"I'm sorry-" She tried but the man scoffed.
"Detention child and your just in luck it's the end of the day." He handed her a slip, and the bell sounded, "follow me." His gown flowed behind him as they made a quick walk to a dark musty basement like room. They stopped by the door and he leant over her pushing the door open,
"in you go." He said eyeing Adelaide, she groaned bitterly and moved past him, dragging her suitcase with her. She sat down on a seat slamming her handbag down on the desk, she looked back at her 'punisher' and saw him smirk before he walked away.
"gross..." She shivered,
"don't mind Frollo, he's always been a lecher."
Adelaide turned her head and spotted a girl with short choppy, almost black hair sitting behind her a grin on her lips and her chin resting on her palm. Adelaide, gave a slight tilt of her head, as her teal eyes stared at the girl's chocolate bambi eyes. The girl leant over her desk and held up her hand.
"Name's Coral. Coral Hook." She said still smiling slyly, Adelaide took her hand and scanned Coral, she had dark eye makeup, on her slightly tanned skin, a clunky necklace with a pendant sat nicely against her upper chest, she wore several bracelets on her arms all rattling as they shook hands, a leather pirate coat, and a pirate hat on.
"I didn't know Captain Hook had a daughter." Adelaide finally found her voice and the young brunette gave a chuckle.
"Sometimes, I don't think he remembers." She said, the blonde smiled back at Hook's daughter.
"Oh, I'm Adelaide." She said introducing herself as the girl's let go of each other's hands. Coral raised an eyebrow,
"villain or princess?" Coral asked, Adelaide bit her lip, Coral stared at her until Adelaide sighed in annoyance.
"Princess."
"Nice... a princess." Coral murmured, Adelaide gave the young pirate girl a cheeky smile.
"Now, that is totally debatable."
Coral's eyes widened before they both laughed loudly. Coral sat back in her seat as Adelaide turned the chair slightly, she crossed her legs over each other and glanced around at the basement room.
"So how long are we in for?" She asked, Coral folded her arms over her chest.
"Usually when Hook comes to find me, to praise me for being in trouble." She rolled her eyes and Adelaide raised an eyebrow. "Hey, you're a new kid, right? There were rumours a few new kids were joining." Coral asked, Adelaide nodded,
"Yes," She said, "I guess I'm not the only newbie." She thought before asking Coral a question "How long have you been here?"
"All my life." She stated, Coral's eyes travelled to the door and Frollo walked in,
"looks like it's just you two today, I suggest you do some homework." He sat down and opened his bible. Coral leant forward.
"He knows your new, right?" She whispered Adelaide shook her head and pulled her hair over one side of her shoulder.
"He wouldn't listen."
"Never does." She smirked, and Adelaide gave a small smile. Coral pulled out a notebook and began doodling as Adelaide watched her quietly. Adelaide turned back to the front and stared Frollo before she glanced at the clock waiting for her time here to be up.
