The evening rolled around quickly once Adelaide had gotten back to her dorm room she was sat on her bed watching Elsa and Kida run around trying to find something they deemed worthy for her to wear that evening.
"How about this?" Kida held up a dress from her wardrobe.
"Green may suit you Kida but unfortunately Adelaide is too pale for that." Elsa muttered, Kida shrugged and tossed it into the no pile. Adelaide shook her head and folded her arms as Kida slammed her wardrobe shut and flopped onto the bed.
"Well that's my formal wardrobe gone. Elsa anything left in yours?" She asked, Elsa shook her head. Adelaide drummed her nails against her arm.
"You know I could just go in my black dress." She stopped, her eyes widening as Elsa and Kida stared at her, Kida raised an eyebrow and they all stared at the dress. Adelaide pursed her lips, why was she even debating Rothbart's dress.
"No offence sweetie, I don't think that..." She cleared her throat "is what Proteus is looking for." She said, Adelaide stared at Kida dumbfounded, Kida shrugged her shoulders as Elsa piped up.
"I could always make her a plain dress, but I just don't think blue is her colour." Elsa said, she tapped her foot on the floor impatiently as she thought. "Ah I know. I'll be back in a bit. Kida can you do her hair?" she asked as she hurried to the door and ran through, Kida smiled and got up grabbing all the essential hair products.
"Sure thing." She said, Adelaide sighed dramatically and sat there quietly staring at Rothbart's dress, listening to Kida babble as she got on with Adelaide's hair.

Elsa ran though the corridor to her sister's room hoping Rapunzel would be there, Elsa reaching the door she knocked loudly and waited for it to open.
"You know you could just come in without knocking." Anna rolled her eyes as she opened the door for her sister.
"No Anna, I will do no such thing." Elsa retorted as she stepped into the room. Anna closed the door behind her before crossing her arms over her chest.
"So what brings you here? It's to see me isn't it?" She asked, Elsa raised a hand to hide her laughter.
"No I'm actually here to see Rapunzel is she in?"
Anna frowned as she walked around the room before sitting down on her bed, Elsa waited patentially.
"'Punzel Elsa is here to see you." Anna announced before opening her book and absently reading it. The blonde looked down from her perch atop the wood beams in their tower room.
"Oh hi Elsa it's been a while!" She hooked her hair around a protruding beam and swung down to the floor.
"I have a favour to ask you." Elsa said as the younger girl landed in front of the ice queen
"Anything." Rapunzel said smiling brightly, Elsa wrapped her arms around herself self-consciously.
"You wouldn't happen to have any clothing that Adelaide could borrow?" Elsa asked, Rapunzel raised an eyebrow before she walked to her wardrobe and began rummaging through it.
"I'm sure I have something but why do you need it?" She asked, throwign items across the floor, Anna shook her head smiling slightly as Elsa raised an eyebrow at the growing mess.
"Well that prince we were introduced to today is actually the prince Adelaide's been asked to marry and she's meeting him in about twenty minutes but she has nothing to wear." Elsa explained, Anna squealed excitdely as Rapunzel laughed happily throwing more clothes on the floor.
"I didn't think Adelaide was interested in any of the prince's. I thought she was more interested in the bad guys." She giggled, Elsa rolled her eyes as Anna chuckled, Rapunzel pulled back. "This one..." The lost princess handed over a lilac gown to Elsa and smiled. "This one should suit her perfectly." Rapunzel decalred, Elsa folded the dress neatly over her arm and bowed to the two princesses.
"Thank you Rapunzel." Elsa smiled at her sister's friend. "Anna I expect to see you tomorrow bright and early and please try and be on time." Elsa said as she ehaded for the door, Anna got up and headed to the door ready to close it behind her sister.
"You'll be lucky." Anna laughed loudly with Rapunzel as she waved her sister goodnight.

Adelaide was stood by the front door waiting for Proteus it wasn't cold out, but the wind howled around the trees causing a chill to run through the grounds. She leant back against the wall when a shadow in the distance caught her eye. She was about to go after it when she heard someone jogging, she turned her attention away from the shadows and smiled as she spotted Protues coming towards her.
"I'm not late am I?" Proteus called as he jogged to where Adelaide was waiting.
"Oh no not at all I came down earlier." She said cuseying to the man in front of her, Proteus heaved a sigh of relief and held out his hand.
"Where would be best to talk?" He asked, his smile charming and warming, Adelaide took his hand and pulled him to the right leading him to the Rose pavilion just on the outskirts of the school's docks.
"Here should be fine." Adelaide said as she sat down on the stone bench her legs folded underneath her. "It was kind of you to let Eric and John onto your ship. I'm not sure you're ever going to get it back." She laughed lightly as she saw his fond smile for his ship. Proteus held his hands behind his back and watched his men set the ship for the night.
"No I don't suppose I will." The prince quickly glanced towards the princess who was looking solemnly over at a man with reddish hair heading away from the infimrary in the distance. "Nor do I believe I will ever earn your love." He stated, Adelaide snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Proteus. He had a small smile on his lips, and her brows furrowed together, her heart jumping out of rhythm at his words.
"What on earth do you mean?" She asked, smiling once more, he sat beside Adelaide and took her hand in his.
"I see the way you stare at the prince of the Southern Isles and realise there is something there, whether your or he even knows it yet." He explained kindly, Adelaide blushed and shook her head vehemently causing the male to laugh loudly. "No reason to deny it I look the same way at Marina." He chuckled, Adelaide elevated an eyebrow.
"Marina is she someone back in Syracuse?" She asked, the prince nodded.
"You could say that. She is an ambassador who lives in our Kingdom." He added, Adelaide lowered her gaze and stared at their entwined fingers.
"I see." Adelaide smiled before a strained silence fell over the two.
"I-" They both started before they stopped.
"You go first." Proteus nodded towards Adelaide.
"Maybe we should... break the arrangement our parents made..." She whispered trying not to offend the prince. The silence was washed away quickly with the prince's response.
"Oh thank goodness." He breathed a sigh of relief before he noticed the shocked and slightly hurt expression on her face. "Oh no I didn't mean it like that it's just-" He paused "I don't believe that people should suffer a loveless marriage." He said grimly, Adelaide nodded her agreement before a realization dawned on her.
"What should I tell my father... he'll be so disappointed in me...?" The air left her body as she thought of how her father would react to the news. Proteus squeezed her hand bringing her back to reality.
"Don't fret I'll inform our Fathers I broke it off because I love someone else." He said, Adelaide just looked at the man as if he had lost his mind.
"Are you insane? What would your Father say?" The brown haired male laughed brushing the comment off with ease.
"He would call me an idiot for leading a beautiful princess like you on, but he would be proud of me for not making a false offer of marriage."
Corinne smiled brightly and wrapped her arms around Proteus' shoulders her head cradled in the hollow of his neck.
"Thank you." She whispered reverently as Proteus hugged her tightly rubbing her back soothingly.
