Chapter Thirty-Five

Author's note: Here we go another chapter! I'm getting agitated with this story haha! It's just missing bits and pieces which is kind of sad. But I will get through this because I love Adelaide and Coral and I thought when this story stopped that it had been abandoned and I wanted to see it through to the end. Anyway enjoy!

           

Lessons ran normally that day and everyone apart from Adelaide and Coral were attending.
"So, as you can see this is what the terrain on Mars looks like..." Amelia said staring at her board, the door opened and everyone craned their heads to the side. "Nice of you to finally join us Cinderella, Facilier." She said, the class frowned as Facilier walked in heading towards Hans who gave his friend a skeptical look, Cinderella just nodded and walked passed her friends without a word and sat at the empty seat. Charming stared at her and she didn't look at him but rather stared at the back of Ariel's head, Amelia frowned at them all.
"Class! Pay attention."
Everyone groaned and continued to listen to the lecture.

Once the bell had gone, Cinderella and Snow disappeared quickly, the other students began to head to their own after school activities. Jasmine stretched her arms and pulled a sleeping Megara up.
"Come on girl..."
Megara groaned and slowly opened her eyes.
"Did I miss much?"
"Apart from Facilier and Cinderella arriving together and Snow and Cinderella leaving in a hurry together, not really." Jasmine said, Megara sighed and headed out the room towards the courtyard, they spotted Tiana and Pocahontas who were stood talking with Florian and Charming.
"Snow's been blanking Aurora and Ariel. Florian you have to know something?" Tiana said tapping her foot on the floor, Florian shrugged.
"Beats me."
"You too Charming, Cinderella's been acting weird all morning! Then she enters lesson with Facilier! Facilier! The creepy Gaston minion." Pocahontas exclaimed, Charming scratched the back of his head.
"I honestly don't know..."
Jasmine and Meg caught up with them, they smiled a little at their friends.
"It's been a really strange day."
"It's not that different to every other day since Coral's been in a coma. This whole school has become weird." Megara said.
"Coral?" Jack Frost said floating towards the group gathered, they nodded.
"Some of the students have been acting differently since Coral's accident." Pocahontas explained. Jack lowered his gaze, and Tiana placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm sure the girl's just tuckered out from all the grief Gaston's been giving her." She said softly, Jack sighed as Florian and Charming began walking away.
"We have to get to the stables, see you tonight Jack. See you at class tomorrow girls."
They all said goodbye to the boys and Jack stayed with the girls.
"Where are you all going?"
"Ariel's feeling down we thought we'd go see her." Megara replied, Jack nodded thoughtfully as Jasmine and Pocahontas began walking towards the school.
"Well I have somewhere to be..." He blushed slightly and the girls smiled a little, Megara gave him a smirk.
"Say hi from us."
"Bye Jack." The girls giggled as they went leaving Jack to head towards the medical room, he shook his head and he knew deep down the girls thought he was off to see Tooth, but he really wasn't. He continued to walk along until he heard a loud scream. He frowned and the doors to the medical unit flung open.
"Ariel?" Naveen muttered as he stopped by Jack, they both raised their eyebrows and shrugged at each other, Ariel screamed again as she went.
"She seems awfully manic today."
"You're telling me."
"We just want to talk Ariel!"
The red head ran by quickly her eyes shut and arms flailing everywhere, Jack's jaw dropped and he gripped his staff tightly as Cinderella and Snow walked out of the doors following Ariel.
"Stay away! Stay away! Go away!"
Cinderella and Snow gave Jack and Naveen a look before continuing after the red head who had managed to jump over the fence and around the corner. Eric came out and waved frantically at the sprite. The pair walked over to the other prince.
"Soooo what's up with the mermaid this time?"
"I have no clue... She went to see Coral."
The boys blinked.
"What? Why would she see her?" Naveen asked Eric who just shrugged.
"She said something about Adelaide, then Snow White and then she just walked in and started talking to Coral. I swear if Coral was awake she'd think Ariel's lost her mind." Eric sighed, he watched as Snow and Cinderella walked back passed them muttering they had failed.
"Are you sure she hasn't?" Jack said tapping his chin, he ducked quickly as an arm tried to hit his head, Naveen suppressed a laugh. Eric sighed.
"I better go find her... Naveen can you help me?" Eric asked, Naveen patted Jack's shoulder who continued to the medical room as Naveen and Eric left to find Ariel.

He made it into the room and nodded at the nurse who smiled kindly at the younger male, she left and closed the door behind her as Jack shuffled uncomfortably on the spot before sitting on the chair closest to Coral's bed. He stayed silent and watched her chest heave up and down, the beeping felt calming and the breathing was a sure sign that she was getting better. He leant forward and rested his elbows on the bed with his chin on his palms.
"Hey trouble." He said quietly "I guess this is your daily update... we all met Proteus a day ago and he's already leaving, apparently Adelaide's big day won't be happening." He said, from under the covers Coral's fingers twitched "I heard Ariel came and saw you today... she's been really weird. A lot weirder than what you're probably used too. The fact that she came to see you is really strange." He gulped "Not- that- I mean you're..." He leant back against the chair and closed his eyes. "Why won't you wake up?" He opened his eyes and stared up at the ceiling "something always brings me here Coral and I can't explain it." He stared down at the young girl and felt tears pricking at his eyes, he slowly leaned forward and pulled back the covers and slowly lifted her hand, her cold and delicate hand, he placed her hand against his cheek and sighed softly.
"Everyone's talking about you Coral. Everyone good or bad, they all want to see you wake up." The door flung open and Jack dropped Coral's hand and turned to the door, standing there was Hook scowling at the white haired male.
"What are you doing here?" Hook asked, Jack got up and stumbled away from Coral, Hook walked forward eyeing Jack.
"Nothing... not at all. I should get going." He stammered, Hook frowned and moved to where Jack was previously standing, Jack stood by the door and stared back at Coral. He sighed before leaving the room. Once the door had shut Hook's expression soften and he placed her hand gently down on her chest and brushed strands of hair out of her eyes. He pursed his lips together before he wept quietly his head lowered to the side of the bed and with his good hand he clutched at the covers.

Cinderella watched Ariel and Belle scurry past and disappear into the study room. Grinning darkly she began to head for her room when she was stopped by Charming.
"Cinderella come on it's time for dance." He said cheerfully, the blonde looked the prince up and down.
"Sorry I feel a migraine coming on and should really go and lie down." She said rubbing her forehead, Charming looked at her before he placed a hand on her forehead.
"You do feel a bit clammy."
"Yes, so I'm off bye, bye." She waved as she headed down the corridor. Charming just shook his head in confusion and began to walk to the dance hall to let Queen Elinor know he wouldn't be dancing with Cinderella today.
