Chapter Twenty-Eight

Jack Sparrow sighed and closed his eyes as Anastasia got up and moved around the room. Mickey closed his book and stood up as Gaston sat down. Suddenly a loud scream came from the room and everyone's eyes widened staring at the door. Adelaide placed her hands over her mouth and Captain Sparrow, Jack Frost and Mickey bolted out of the waiting room and into the operating room, the door slammed shut and locked tightly as Adelaide lowered her hand. Gaston slammed his hand against the door as Anastasia collapsed to her knees. They rounded the corner and what they heard made their hearts pound against their chests, shouts and yells and orders came from the doctors as the screaming continued from Coral and the trio entered the room against the nurse's orders.

The doctor slipped out in all the commotion as Coral's body violently shook against the restraints, Captain Sparrow went to her side and pressed his hand against her hair as she shook her head from side to side.
"Please, please Coral pull through."
"We don't know what happened Mickey, one minute she was... dead and now she won't stop screaming." The doctor explained, Jack Frost clenched his stick tightly and Mickey closed his eyes. Captain Sparrow frantically searched everyone's eyes.
"Please she's got to..."
"Coral..." Jack Frost whispered, everyone shook their heads and watched Coral's body, Captain Sparrow lowered his head against the wall watching the young pirate fight for her life. Coral's body stopped and everything in the room went silent. Slowly the pulse on the screen grew and Coral was breathing normally.
"Vital signs show a positive increase... King Mickey she'll be okay!" Everyone sighed in relief and watched the sleeping girl.

Merida smiled sadly before looking at Adelaide.
"I hope you don't mind but I need to go find my mam." Merida said softly, Adelaide nodded her head.
"I'll let you know if anything changes." She replied. The Scottish princess waved over to her friend who waved sheepishly back trying to keep the attention off the dress Rothbart gave her, but it didn't work.
"So, what's the deal with the dress Adelaide?" Hans asked as he leant against the wall. For the first time since he had gotten there Gaston turned his eyes on the princess.
"Nothing's the deal with the dress." She replied wrapping her arms around her chest.
"Really?" Gaston raised his eyebrows.
"Yes really. Now stop asking." She spun around on her heels the dress spinning out behind her.
"Somehow I just don't believe it. I mean look at her she looks like one of those wenches in a tavern." Gaston's laugh rattled around the room. Adelaide turned her eyes to Hans who just stared coldly back at her.
"Oh, leave her alone guys." Anastasia growled as she stood beside the princess. Gaston just rolled his eyes looked at the operating doors listening for anything that would tell him how his girl was doing. Adelaide gave Hans a glance as he continued to glare at the dress.
"What Hans? Do you agree with Gaston?"
"As a matter of fact I do." Hans replied coldly, Adelaide gasped "in fact it's a horrible dress and only someone with a dark secret would wear it." He muttered, Adelaide stormed over to Hans and raised her hand, he blinked and caught her wrist.
"How can you be so rude!" She yelled struggling to pull her wrist away.
"Why are you even here Adelaide? Coral has nothing to do with you! She's our friend not yours!" He yelled, Adelaide gave one last tug and stumbled back.
"She's your friend, is she?" Adelaide muttered as Hans averted his gaze. Gaston pulled at the door and it fell open he smirked.
"Ignore the wench, let's go."

Rothbart stood outside and smirked the darkness deep in Coral's heart will begin to boil and Rothbart couldn't wait.
"She will be ours..." He said, Facilier walked up and nodded at him.
"Ohhh the doctor's uniform looks so good on you." He teased, Rothbart rolled his eyes and switched his clothes. Facilier looked in to the room and watched the group assess Coral's vitals.
"Coral will be yours then?" Rothbart asked, Facilier shook his head.
"No matter how much one wants something, someone else seems to think they own her." Facilier turned his head back to Rothbart, "you should know that my friend with Adelaide." Rothbart scowled and walked away as the door opened and Gaston and the others were free to view Coral.
"Hey you made it." Hans muttered staring glumly at Facilier who nodded silently Adelaide stormed passed them both and opened the operating room, Anastasia stood in front of the door as Gaston launched for her.
"Don't even come in. Coral is okay, go back to your rooms. Now." She demanded, Hans nodded and headed off Facilier shrugged and raised his eyebrows and followed Hans. Gaston shook his head before quickly moving away.
"Don't ever get in my way again Anastasia." Gaston muttered. Anastasia watched him go before entering the room, Adelaide was sat on the chair next to Jack Frost who was focused on the pale figure. Jack Sparrow and Mickey were talking in the corner.
"Come on in," Jack Frost said not taking his eyes off Coral, "she's gonna be okay." He said softly, Anastasia felt tears in her eyes as she ran forward and slumped to her knees grasping Coral's hand. Jack Frost and Adelaide watched the red head cry for her friend. Adelaide closed her eyes and thought back to before, she couldn't believe what she had heard, Jack squeezed her hand lightly.
"Gosh ya'll, it's getting late everyone should return to their rooms." Mickey whispered, "Coral needs to sleep." Everyone gave a small protest. "Captain Jack will stay with her... please students it's been a long day for us. Go to your rooms, you have classes tomorrow as normal, but no one is to be out later than ten o clock."
Anastasia placed a kiss on Coral's forehead and scurried out, Adelaide gripped Coral's hand and bit her lip.
"I'm glad you're okay Coral...." She nodded at Jack and headed out gripping her dress, so she could run back to her room. Jack Frost stared down at Coral taking in her bandaged and broken body, he closed his eyes and stroked her cheek before resting his forehead against hers.
"Get back to your old self fast Reef." He whispered before nodding at the two teachers and walking along slowly back to his room. Mickey sighed and rubbed his head.
"This was Rothbart." Jack Sparrow hissed.
"We cannot jump to conclusions."
Captain Sparrow faced his old friend.
"We have to! Coral almost died! I- forgive me Mickey, I'm letting my emotions control me." He stopped, and Mickey shook his head.
"It is understandable, you care deeply for her. Get some rest notify me if anything changes, I will be calling a meeting tomorrow. Goodnight." Mickey left Jack with Coral, he sighed and pulled out his rum.
"Cheers kid. You live through another day." He took a swig as the last doctor left switching the light off, the monitor shining brightly.

Rothbart waited patiently and heard a cry for help, he pushed himself away from the tree and smiled at Facilier who dragged along the purest heart.
"Now, now Snow, let's not make this difficult." Facilier laughed pulling her roughly against him and holding her tightly.
"You brought her."
"You know it." He said, Snow trembled and held back tears.
"You- you're Rothbart... please don't hurt me."
"Now child we wouldn't do that. Lock her up." Rothbart smirked, Snow cried out as the men laughed at the terrified child, the ground trembled and ten pillars appeared. Snow's jaw dropped as they shimmered brightly, she turned her head slowly to Rothbart.
"What are you going to do?"
"Nothing much child, just obtain Adelaide's Kingdom. Obtain ultimate power." He said, Snow was pushed forward and placed on a seal, she stared down as it began to glow purple.
"And you? Facilier?"
He faced her as the ground around Snow glowed, Snow groaned in pain and crumpled to the floor her energy taken from her. He pulled her up and turned her to Rothbart, he smirked and splayed his fingers whipping up a mirror. Snow blinked back tears, an image of Snow reflected off the mirror and it stepped out standing in front of the original, this terror, Rothbart could see in the young princess made him laugh loudly.
"Please Facilier let me go home." She whimpered Facilier shook his head and gave her a malicious grin, he led her to the first pillar and stepped her up onto it.
"This replica will make sure no one knows you've been missing."
"Please- Please I'm begging you..."
"Too late child... Snow flake." Rothbart smirked the replica faced Rothbart and held out her hands, he pulled her close "time for school." It nodded and walked away, the men faced Snow as the ice at the bottom began to grow icing over Snow White.
"Facilier why?!" She screamed in desperation.
"Because I need to repay my friends, that and I like the idea of souls." The men laughed and began to move away allowing the ice to clamber up and around Snow White.
"You won't get away with this!" The ice stopped and Facilier tilted his head to the side.
"We already have Snow. No one knows you've been taken."
"You're wrong! Coral does! Coral tried to save me! She's going to come save-"
"She's dying." Rothbart laughed. Snow gasped and allowed the tears to fall.
"If she lives the darkness in her heart will spread and she'll join us." Rothbart said simply, Snow turned to Facilier.
"You cannot do this to Coral!"
"But I want her, you see Snow and this is the only way." He flicked his wrist and the ice continued around Snow's face until she breathed her last breath. Rothbart and Facilier nodded before cancelling the summoning and the Pillars dropped and they slithered back into the fog and shadows.
