Author's note: Okay, let's get this all posted!
Mickey arrived back into his office and sighed.
"Mickey what's wrong?" Minnie asked, sitting herself comfortably down in her seat. Mickey rubbed his neck and moved towards the announcer.
"Minnie..." Mickey pressed the button. The school speakers sounded loudly and the students throughout the school stopped their activities and waited.
"Students of Destiny Academy, these last few weeks have been hard on all of us. As always every bright student has prevailed through." Mickey stopped and turned to face Minnie, who looked at him with concern. "In light of this I am glad to announce this year's Halloween Bash. Which will take place in three days." He closed his eyes and sighed "my apologies for the short notice students but I am full of confidence that you all will work together to make this Halloween Bash as special as all the others. Goodnight students and tomorrow may we work hard to show to our parents and friends and other lands all our hard work. Mickey out."
The teachers in their rooms stared long and hard at the speakers, Clayton gulped down a drink and threw it in the fire before settling into bed.
"You have to be kidding me."
Queen Elinor and the Blue Fairy sighed and glanced at one another before also turning in for the night. Many of the students climbed into bed with thoughts of the Halloween Bash, some excited others not so much, as the countdown to the darkest day of the year comes closer. Everyone clambered into their beds with thoughts of Mickey's announcement. The annual Halloween bash, and all thoughts led to one girl. Coral, the Queen of Darkness.
"Coral you asleep?" Vanessa asked, Coral opened her eyes and rolled over to stare at her.
"No."
"Did I wake you?"
"Yes."
"Sorry."
"What's up," She chuckled quietly, Vanessa smiled a little.
"I can't wait for Halloween. We're gonna have the best ideas ever." Vanessa closed her eyes and smiled Coral shuffled and lay on her back staring up at the dark ceiling.
"Yeah..."Adelaide smiled to herself as she watched Ariel jump onto her mattress the duvet covers sucking her in.
"Are you sure you don't want to share?" Ariel asked propping herself up on her elbow to look down at Adelaide who had made a nest in the corner of the room who in turn looked back.
"Are you kidding and give up this amazing nest I made. No chance." She winked at the mermaid who giggled.
"You are such a child Adelaide." Elsa called out from the bathroom doorway where she was toweling her hair dry.
"Yes well you should have seen me and the younger ones play fort for hours in the castle ballroom... my father didn't take to kindly to us pretending to be soldiers."
"You should come to Atlantis all women can be trained as a guard." Kida announced proudly as she undid the cloth around her waist and slipped under the sheet.
"I might take you up on that offer."
Elsa rolled her eyes as she exited the bathroom now in her blue nightgown.
"Adelaide don't you think it's about time you stop shirking your responsibilities?"
"I'm not shirking my responsibilities. I agreed to the arranged marriage didn't I!"
"But nothing came of it." Elsa carefully removed her gloves and placed them on her bed side table.
"Thanks for reminding me." Adelaide grumbled as she pulled her knees up under her chin.
"Are they always like this?" Ariel asked Kida excitedly who nodded her response.
"I'm sorry Adelaide I didn't mean anything by it... it's just..."
Adelaide smiled sympathetically over at her friend.
"Don't worry I understand." Adelaide motioned to the light receiving nods from the girls and quickly she flicked the switch immersing the room in darkness, after a few minutes the sound of light breathing filled the room but Adelaide just stared into the dark her mind running at a thousand miles an hour, finally her eyes began to close and she slipped into a deep sleep. The day had begun in a panic, students were running around the halls and staircases finding decorations and discussing possible ideas for the Halloween bash. However for one student she was still asleep in bed, even if it was her favourite time of the year.
"Wake up!"
Coral groaned and rolled over, the light flittered in through her eyelids and she slowly opened her eyes, Vanessa lay next to Coral smiling widely as the pirate began to wake from her slumber.
"She's up Anastasia!" Vanessa leant forward and ruffled Coral's already messy hair before jumping off the bed and running around the room.
"What?" Coral mumbled, sitting up she rubbed her eyes and watched her two room crashers. Vanessa zipped up her boots and began to pack Coral's bag as Anastasia moved towards Coral.
"Come on it's the countdown to the Halloween Bash. You are meant to dress up all week." Anastasia held up two outfits. "So which one?" Anastasia asked smiling at the girl dosing on her bed.
"Coral come on! We need to go to Pitch's lesson soon!" Vanessa said as she clambered onto the bed and began brushing through Coral's hair. Coral flinched a little but allowed the two girls to dress her up.
"This happens every year..." Coral thought as Anastasia began placing make up on her pale skin.
