Mother Gothel had already begun her teaching when the four had arrived, the room had been transformed into a darkened Halloween room. Coral walked in ignoring the looks she was given by the other villains. She headed to her seat along with Hans just as Adelaide headed to the back of the room with Jack Frost.
"As I was saying, you will continue writing our stories, remember the rough draft will be in at the end of the semester. No exam will take place this side of the year. These will be for the final exam at the end of the school year." The students began planning and rewriting every so often a student would ask Mother Gothel for advice and to read the improvements, for Coral her eyes were slowly drifting off. She rested her chin on her palm and sighed, she doodled pictures around the story ignoring the task at hand.
"Huh?" She glanced up and everything was moving slowly until the room and every student stopped, Coral stood up and her palms burst into flames as she turned around coming face to face with Rothbart.
"What are you doing here?" She hissed, standing still, he stepped back from her and bowed to her.
"Just here to talk Coral."
"I have nothing to say!"
"Not even about Adelaide?" He whispered gesturing to the girl frozen in time, Coral clenched her fists and slowly they turned from fire to a gust of wind. He laughed and twizzled his moustache before moving around the room very slowly eyeing up the students. He stopped behind one of the princesses and Coral felt her chest tighten, he smiled at Coral.
"How about it Coral? Let's make a deal." He said walking to the door, she gave him a dark look before pursing her lips together.
"If you do something for me Coral, I will let Adelaide go, she can take back her deal of saving your life."
Coral's let out the breath she was holding in.
"I'll do it." He laughed doubling over.
"Don't jump straight in."
She shook her head and pointed towards the older male,
"I said I'd protect her."
"Alright, Coral my dear, you have to just take a lovely princess." He said in only a whisper, Coral's heart sank as the time slowly began to move.
"Look around you Coral, if you weigh a princess against Adelaide you truly are evil. I can see it in your eyes, you'll do anything to protect your only friend. If you want Adelaide to be free of me, take a princess." Coral glanced to the back of the room and clenched her hands together. Rothbart disappeared and the time began to move. Mother Gothel frowned.
"Coral why are you out of your seat?" She moved towards her student, Coral stayed still staring at the floor her breath coming in small sharp breaths. Everyone stopped what they were doing, Adelaide frowned, Mother Gothel placed her hand on her shoulder and Coral snapped up and stumbled backwards away from Mother Gothel.
"Coral are you okay?" She asked, a small hint of concern in her voice for her villain student. Coral glanced around the room and fell into the door, the door froze over and she gasped pulling back, her eyes landed on Adelaide and for a moment Coral felt a twinge of hate run through her. Her eyes travelled across the room watching the Princesses, they were good and did not deserve this, her eyes shot back to Adelaide and her teeth gritted together she wished Adelaide had let her die that day. She turned around and pulled on the door, it flung open and she sprinted out. She ran along going faster than she's ever gone hiding from the other students and teachers as she headed to her room. Locking herself away.

The rest of the class shrugged and continued with their lessons as Mother Gothel closed the door and continued to teach. Jack Frost flicked his pen onto the floor and bent down picking it up, before moving towards Coral's desk and picking up her books and bag. He felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned to see Aurora.
"What are you doing?" She asked quietly, he sighed softly and walked back to his seat with her books.
"Someone's gotta drop this all off."
Aurora frowned but let it go, Jack had seemed a little tense and she did not want to push it when it came to Coral. Adelaide stared at the door, she had glimpsed a darkness in Coral and she had seen firsthand what that was, she looked like that after Rothbart had paid her a dreadful visit. The bell rang and the students began to pack away leaving one young white haired male to sit and wait, Hans and the other villains had left not even mentioning Coral's breakdown. He waited for Mother Gothel to switch off the light and leave, he laughed to himself, he was still pretty invisible to everyone no matter how many children finally believed in him. He headed out as he watched many of the students turn in for the night, he watched as prince and princess said goodbye to each other, as though it would be a life time till they meet again. He rolled his eyes as he watched the villains not even wish each other goodnight as they headed their own ways all alone and individual, he stopped and clenched the strap of Coral's bag.
"It's a lonely life for a villain." He turned around to face Professor Porter, he nodded to his teacher.
"Why has it always been like this?"
"Because that's the way the stories go. Even yours."
"But they're wrong." More and more students disappeared to their evening activities and turning in for the night,
"Jack, if students were to create their own versions of stories what do you really think will happen? That is why we have what we have, we live and learn and go on. The villains have accepted it... shouldn't you?" He walked away as Jack headed into the dorm rooms trying to find the one villain he could not accept as a villain. He waited just around the corner until Coral had finally left her room. she was in a black long coat covering her whole body, her eyes were dark and her Pirate hat sat neatly on top of her head. He ran forward,
"Hey! Coral!" He yelled a little, she stopped and her body began to shake before she continued walking, he frowned. "Coral I have your bag you left it." He continued after her as she picked up her pace heading down towards the doors. Coral walked along ignoring Jack Frost. He grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
"WHAT?!" She screamed at him.
"Where are you going?"
"Out! Away! Leave me alone." She snapped pulling her arm away from him, he sighed.
"Coral what's going on? Please talk to me." Jack whispered, Coral gasped and pulled back stepping away from him, her eyes filled with tears.
"I- I... cant." She turned around willing the tears to disappear, she shut them tightly and turned her head to the side. "Please, go away. I'll hurt you."
Jack was about to speak however Coral raised her hands and snapped her fingers causing a bright flame to engulf the space between them. She spun on her heels and ran off towards the doors. Jack blinked and stayed behind the fire.
"Her eyes were... red..."

Coral stared down at the princess and scowled, Rothbart stood behind her.
"It's just one small thing you have to do for me Coral."
Coral clenched her fists as she listened to Rothbart
"do it." He whispered, Aurora gracefully spun along with prince Philip "you have enough power to do that." The sun began to lower across the land and the wind began to pick up around Coral. Her skin began to turn grey and her black veins showed across her forehead "can you hear me?" Rothbart's shadow disappeared and Coral leant forward before jumping down.
"It's getting cold out." Philip remarked holding a giggling Aurora against him, she stopped giggling and placed her arms delicately around his neck.
"Are you scared?"
"Aurora, you know we're not meant to be out after dark."
The shadows began to advance from behind the gates, eager to grab Aurora. Aurora pressed her lips lightly against Philip who held her close, she pulled back and smiled.
"Okay, let's go back."
They both turned back to the school however something sinister began to walk quickly towards them. Philip squinted and felt Aurora's hand tightened around his.
"No... it's true." She whispered, he stared at his princess before glancing up to see Coral step into the light of the moon, darker than ever before. Her eyes were dark and were fixed on Aurora, Aurora stepped back and Philip held her, she placed her free hand over her mouth trying not to cry or scream, Coral's coat billowing out behind her.
"I won't let Coral hurt you." Philip said as he pulled his sword out, Coral shook her head and raised her arm, she closed the gap between them and Aurora closed her eyes as Philip stepped in front of her. Coral's hand turned blue and electric sparks filled her palm before she shot it forward.
"Get down!" She yelled, Aurora fell to her knees and Philip dove to the side the lightning zapped the shadow that had formed behind the distracted prince and princess. Philip rolled over and stared with his mouth agape at Coral who walked passed Aurora and went straight for the shadows. The shadows recoiled and formed around Coral who tilted her head to the side.
"Am I going to have to die again? Rothbart!?" She cried angrily through her darkened voice. Aurora turned her head to face the pirate. Coral unbuttoned her coat giving her body more room to move.
"Something's different about you Coral." She said just loud enough for the other girl to hear, Coral frowned and turned to the princess.
"Stay. Out. Of my. Way."
The shadow's struck at Coral, who dived to the side and whipped around sending fire at the shadows. Aurora let out a scream as one lashed across Coral's cheek, Philip swallowed hard, unable to take in what he was seeing, Coral didn't flinch as the blood spilled from her cut. She bent down and placed her hands on the ground, her coat floated off and landed by Aurora, who picked it up and bit her lip. Coral gritted her teeth and the ground rumbled around them all, the Earth split apart and the shadow's disappeared, retreated and formed a wall, standing up high above Coral who stared at them vacantly. Aurora bit her lip and ran forward one arm raised, everything moved slowly.
"Please! Coral stop!" The shadow zoomed forward and Coral stretched out her arms fire began to spread from one to the other however it stopped as soon as Aurora threw herself in front of Coral wrapping her arms around the other girl's neck.
"Aurora?!" Philip cried out as the shadow's hit Aurora's back flinging the two girls backwards, Coral grunted when her back and head connected with the floor. Aurora's body went limp on top of Coral's body. Blearily Coral snapped out of her thoughts and she sat up,
"Aurora!" She screamed, she shook the blonde and held her close pushing her hair out of her face, "damn it! Don't do this! Aurora! Sleeping Beauty!" She stopped her frantic cries and noticed the shadow's, she stood up and held Aurora in her arms, the shadows shrieked loudly and dived at her, Coral quickly moved Aurora out of harm's way. Coral placed her down but her eyes widened and a shadow lashed at Coral. She let out a scream as she flew into the fountain, Philip watched as his princess was taken by the shadow's. He ran forward raising his sword but it was quickly taken from his hand and he too was knocked down and taken by the shadows.
"Coral!" He yelled, the pirate spluttered and coughed and climbed out of the fountain, she watched the shadow's leave and she ran to the tree, stopping as Aurora and Philip disappeared.
