Author note: I'm sorry for the delay in posting! But it's here now! Hope you enjoy!
"Oh. My. God! Coral you look like you've been through the wars." Anastasia cooed as Coral finally walked through the doors to the science lab. "Thanks." She muttered under her breath. "What was that?" Coral stared at Anastasia's face before she shook her head. "So... Anything happen while I was gone?" Coral asked as she slipped onto the stool at the back of the classroom. Anastasia was about to speak before her sister Drizella, sat beside Coral and began to talk. "You bet something happened while you were gone!" Anastasia glared darkly at her black-haired sister and went to sit beside Vanessa.
Facilier smiled darkly as he took his place beside Snow White who was nervously talking to a little bird sat on the window sill. "Oh, I know dear it is just awful." Facilier sidled closer to the princess. "Now what could be so awful it's gotten a beautiful princess like you distressed?" Surprised Snow moved backwards but tripped over her yellow skirt. He inclined his head towards her stool and his shadow pushed the stool to stop her from hitting the floor. "H-how did you do that?" She asked her cheeks natural red darkening in embarrassment. "Just a little parlor trick..." He noticed her expression changing to worry. "Nothing to worry about." He showed her his palm to prove he had nothing in his hands. "I am impressed." She smiled brightly. "Why thank you. Now tell me darlin' what other magic do you like?" He smirked darkly, Adelaide smiled at Flynn as she poured the blue acid into the container already containing the red acid. It was imperative that the acids were kept below ten degrees, so nothing seriously would go wrong with the experiment and since the sun was blaring outside Professor Porter had turned the air conditioning to the coolest it could go so everyone was wrapped up. Adelaide carefully placed the blue acid not used back down onto the desk and turned to quickly talk to Flynn about the next ingredient they needed to place in to ensure the crystals formed in the acid. "Take the Cyan liquid next and add two pipette droplets into the acid solution, it should start to form these wicked crystals along the glass which eventually turn the liquid to a solid filled with a crystalline structure." Adelaide nodded and turned to Flynn who was looking at the pipette deciding what he needed to do. Adelaide chuckled under her breath as she left him to his own devices she had done her part now it was up to him to finish the experiment. "You know science is quite easy." Flynn announced as he watched two droplets splash into the purple coloured acid. He crossed his arms over his green vest and smiled proudly before a violent hissing caused both the thief and the princess to stare at the experiment which was now spitting acid from the test tube onto the table. A few screams from the princesses echoed around the room. "Oh no!" Professor Porter called as he ran over to Flynn's and Adelaide's experiment and began to stop the acid from spitting. "It's alright everyone. Now back to work please." The professor just looked at Flynn who stared down at the white-haired man with a cheeky smile. "Err... Sorry?" "Don't 'Sorry' me Mr. Ryder." "I'll be good." "You're completely incapable!" Porter huffed in exasperation. "I'll be better." Flynn smirked, laughing the professor set a new test tube up for them and left them to it.
"So that's what happened to Frost you see." Coral hummed her response as she concentrated on making sure the acids mixed correctly after seeing the incident that had occurred after Flynn had added water instead of the other acid. "Oh, and you'll never believe what happened to that princess Adelaide." Coral snapped her head up, regaining her composure she placed the flask of blue acid on the table and turned to Drizella. "What about Adelaide?" "You remember when that big fight happened, and Hans told her to go marry that prince, well the next morning she stopped that pompous King and told him she'd agree to the marriage! I mean is she crazy or what." Coral's face darkened, and she began to glare at the back of Adelaide's head. "Alright everyone that's it for today leave the crystals on the window sill and tomorrow we can crack them open and look at the results." Coral watched everyone filter out and before Adelaide could go far Coral caught her shoulder. "We need to talk?" She murmured. Adelaide studied her face before nodding. "I'll see you in art 'Punzel." "You have fifteen minutes! Don't be late I need a certain someone's help to pose with that Lantern for my final piece!" The lost princess waved from the distance as she skipped alongside Elsa who was concentrating on her thinking of how she could do an ice sculpture on such a hot day. When everyone had disappeared, Coral centered the princess in front of her. "You accepted that marriage." She said, Adelaide's face dropped she had thought everyone had accepted it and even Hans had moved on but now Coral knew, and all her fears had come back to life. "Who told you?" She gasped. "Drizella. Why?" Coral demanded looking into the princess's eyes. "I needed to do what's best for my country... you wouldn't understand." "I understand pretty damn well. You want to make your Father proud... and after what I've seen of how he treats you." She left the statement hanging. "I know my reasons are wrong... but I just need to do this!" She pleaded as if she was trying to convince the pirate. "Stop trying to convince me Adelaide. It's you, you need to convince..." Coral stopped talking as she watched Frollo walked by as he eyed them suspiciously, rolling her eyes Coral grabbed Adelaide's arm and dragged her into the girl's bathroom away from prying eyes. "And something tells me this has something to do with that man... so spill it what's happened?" "H- he's given me till the end of the month, to accept his own marriage proposal..." She whispered, Coral let out a deep sigh. "I hope you know what you're doing."
They left the bathrooms and went their separate ways and headed to their classes. Adelaide had made it to Art class and slumped into her seat. Rapunzel titled her head to the side and placed her lantern in front of the other princess. "What's up?" "Nothing... I need to pose for this right?" Adelaide wearily got up and took the lantern, Rapunzel was about to respond when she heard a slight cough from behind her, she faced the noise and Elsa slowly shook her head. Adelaide stared out the window as Rapunzel began to draw her. Elsa was struggling to find a masterpiece and the rest of the class was silent working on their individual projects, Rapunzel stretched her arms and sat down on the window ledge next to Adelaide. "What did Coral say to you?" She asked in a simple whisper, Adelaide craned her neck to the side and stared at the princess. "Nothing much...." "Really?" Elsa muttered they both looked at the Queen of Ice, who blushed "I got bored of my project, what did Coral want? She seemed really angry." "Yeah... you haven't done something to her?" "Not really, she doesn't hate me guys, she hates Tooth more than anything." "We all know that." They all giggled quietly before shuffling closer, Elsa placed her hand on the window sill and stared out at the prince's sports lesson. "I guess she just wanted to know why I agreed to- stuff.... I don't know guys..." Rapunzel placed a hand on the other princess's hand. "It's alright Adelaide, we know you and Coral..." Rapunzel's eyes widened, and she turned her head to Queen Elinor- "Girls... please get back to work it is not lunch or break." They all mumbled their apologies and went back to their work. Nothing more was said that lesson about Adelaide and Coral's 'talk'.
