Another Kankuro Love Story

Lunch with Naruto!

The next day I was on my way to the training grounds Sasuke and I fought at. I got there early so I decided to wait for a little while. To pass time Kuro and I practiced on some jutsu. Of course Kuro just watched but he looked like he understood. Weird. We probably practiced a lot because we wait for at least a hour. Then I got bored and used some puppet jutsu I seen Kankuro use to play with Kuro I made him chase a leaf around. I wasn't that good at it so all I did was stuff like picking stuff up like a book or how I was playing with a leaf. It was very convenient to use for those things.

About thirty minutes later Kuro and I were laying in a tree then Naruto appeared. Thank goodness I thought he forgot. "Sorry I had to go somewhere this morning and it took longer than expected so I was late." He explained. "No no its okay I don't mind waiting. Plus it gave me time to practice on a few justus." I told him waving away the apology.

He smiled at me of course I smiled back. "Anyway ready to go?" He asked holding his hand to help me up. I smiled and took it then nodded.

We were walking to the ramen shop and not even really talking when we did talk we just walked when we did talk it wasn't anything to remember. The only conversation I could remember is about Kuro. He just said he thought that he acted kind of strange. He liked him though and Kuro took a liking to him too. Kuro so far has taken a liking to everyone he has met.

We finally got to the shop. I remember this shop from last night. I met Shikamaru here I also tried my first bowl of ramen here. So I got excited. "Yay! Now I'm excited!" I said jumping with excitement. "I am usually the only one who loves ramen this much. I am glad I am not the only one who loves ramen." Naruto said then rubbed his head and smiled.

"Yeah I love food any kind it dosent really matter I just love food." I told him walking into the shop and sitting down with Naruto on my left. "Mister! I want pork ramen please!" I called to him and he nodded. "I'll have the same!" Naruto told him he nodded again.

We just talked about our villages while we waited for our food. Then when the food came we just ate we both had seconds. Then after we ate we got ice cream which was delicious I never had that either. Then just walked around the village for a little bit Naruto named off his favorite places or the best place to eat. He did tell me about the spring that this village is popular for.

Then I decided it was time for me to head back then remembered I didn't know where it was so he laughed at me and walked me back to my hotel. He made fun of me on the way back I laughed along with him I never was able to laugh so freely with anyone. With Naruto it was diffrent I felt like I could laugh all the time and smile more. He just made me feel happy being around him.

It was good having a friend like him. I was glad to make friends with him.

When we got back to the hotel we parted ways after saying our goodbyes. I was about to go into the boys room when I heard voices on the other side of the door I knew it was the sand siblings. I wanted to know what they were saying and couldn't help myself I stuck my ear to the door and listened.

"Kankuro don't get distracted with Akemi. You need to have a clear head for the plan. You know as well as I do this plan won't work if we all don't do our part." Temari was explaining. I glanced down at my feet to see Kuro had his ear to the door too.

I couldn't help but smile. Then I went back to listening "I know Temari you don't have to tell me all I was asking was why we can't let her and Yumiko in on the plan as well I mean they are part of the village." He said groaning in frustration.

"It's not safe you know that the less they know the better. Plus it's the Kazekage's wish to not let them know. Wether you like it or not father dose care for Akemi. He treats her more like his child then his own children. He wants her and Yumiko safe. You know as well as I do you want Akemi safe as well. So dose Gaara he finally found a friend who loves him for him. Who isn't scared of him. Don't take that from him. I'm afraid if they find out they will not talk to us anymore and that would be hard on Gaara. He doesn't need that to happen." It's seemed like she talked forever. Then I heard footsteps so I scurried into my room.

I pretended to be looking for Kuros cat food. I walked into the boys room looking for it. To be honest I really didn't know where it was. Anyway I walked into the boys room and pretended to be looking for it that means I actually moved Kankuros avalanche of stuff. "What are you doing?" Temari asked. "Looking for Kuros cat food. I would have fed him earlier but I didn't think ramen was good for him." I turned to Gaaras bed and looked under it.

I didn't have to worry about losing my life with Gaaras stuff because he was very organized. Plus the bed dosent even look like someone was sleeping on the bed or even sat on it. "Akemi you put the cat food under the bathroom cabinet." I blinked when I remembered where it was located.

I immediately headed to the bathroom grabbed the cat food and his bowl then went to the side of Gaaras bed and put cat food in it and put it on the floor. Kuro meowed his thanks and began eating. "Do one of you have paper and a pen?" I asked. Temari sighed and brought me a pad of paper and a pen for a desk.

I grabbed it and began scratching it. It was a note to Naruto. I was asking him if I could stay with him until the chunin exams. To be honest I didn't want to stay here because I needed to think about what all of this ment. I finished my note and folded it and wrote please respond back send it back with the messenger please.

Then picked Kuro up and looked him straight in the eye. Then told him "Kuro take this to Naruto. You will be able to find him by his sent. When you find him wait around with him until he gives you a note back. Okay?" I knew he understood he was really smart. He nodded I smiled and he took the letter out of my hand and went to the window and looked at me. "Okay I'm coming." I got up and opened the window and off he went.

"Who was that to?"Kankuro asked coming up behind me almost giving me a heart attack. "Geez...Kankuro don't do that." I said flinching away from him.

"Who was the letter to?" He asked again. "To Naruto. Who else would I write to I don't have any other friends." I walked over and sat back on Gaaras bed.

"Well what did you say?" "Nothing of you're concern right now." I told him getting angry. "I'm not staying with you guys for the rest of the time I have left before the exams. Which is one day." Now I was angry.

"Why? You have no reasoning behind what you say Akemi think straight." He waved his hand in front of my face. "I am. I don't feel like trusting you or Temari right now. I feel like you're keeping a secret and Gaara too. At this point I'm not trusting any of you. I am taking Yumiko with me I just have to wait for Kuro." I went back to the window opened it and was about to jump out when my hand was grabbed.

"Kankuro let me go. Now!" I yelled turning around to see Gaara not Kankuro."Akemi please don't leave. Don't leave me." He pleaded. "No Gaara. I'm sorry but learn to control you brother and sister. Also next time let me in on any plans you have. No matter how much trouble I could get in. Got that?" And with that I jumped out of the window.
