Another Kankuro Love Story

Chapter 45

~Akemi's POV~

It's been a week since I was in the hospital and it has been crazy. I started working as a ninja really hard there has been so much things I've had to do and it has been nonstop. Gaara has been putting me on missions right after another.

Kankuro and I have barely even gotten to speak because we have been doing different missions on different teams. Every evening I basically come in and pass out in my bed not saying a word to anyone.

I quickly ran through the gates of Sunagakure wanting to get home but stopped realizing I hadn't eaten all day. So I stopped to eat at a small cafe then I walked the rest of the way home. I was extremely tired by time I got home. I quietly walked up the stairs and opened the door and sat my keys down.

I was walking to my room when I heard something fall over in Kankuro's room and then someone cursed. I walked in not bothering to knock to see Kankuro trying to grab Black Ant's head from the floor. I walked over and picked it up off the floor. It had dark red stained into the wood.

I looked around noticing both of the puppets had dark red stains on them. Crow was soaking in pieces in a tub of something. Black Ant was on his way to a tub. I handed the head back to Kankuro noticing his damp freshly washed hair and his clean clothes that he probably put on not too long ago. "Thank you." He said softly I nodded and walked over and plopped down on the bed my face landed on Kankuro's pillow which of course smelled like him.

He gazed back at me as I watched him work while cuddling to the pillow. "Rough day?" He asked me. "Yeah I guess you could say so...I went on a solo mission today and it sucked. I had to deal with a bandit group today and they were not friendly.

They somehow managed to shove me into a creek so I got soaked head to toe and had to use a community shower. Plus it got messy if they would have went along nicely. Gaara was strict about them only being moved to a different location he didn't want me to kill them unless necessary. Trust me it was necessary  I wasn't very nice. What about you? I can tell you had a busy day today." I told him leaving out the part where an old man harassed me in the shower.

"Oh just helped with an escort and it got bloody. Let's just say there was a lot of blood and bombs. The prisoner ended up dead and I ended up with sore shoulders and even more covered in blood. It wasn't even my blood I was careful. Any way what i was saying I had to carry a man back to the village. He lived though." He informed me. I sighed and reached down and played with his hair.

I watched as he finished what he was doing then dried Crow off and reassembled him. Once he was finished he crawled into the bed and lied down. I lied curled up to his side with my arm across his chest. He sighed and leaned down and kissed me softly. I kissed him back pulling him closer to me.

After a few minutes we had no clothes on and just before anything happened I stopped him. "What is it?" He asked softly looking at my face for any sign of pain. "We need to use protection. Now we do anyway." He sat for a second then his face set with realization. "Wait....are you saying that you are able to conceive now?" He asked me. I shrugged.

"Sasuke told me that if I returned that when I came back that everything that that man did would be gone." I explained and he nodded getting up and pulling open a drawer. I watched him then he came back over and kissed me once more.

~the next morning~

I woke with a sleeping Kankuro holding onto me tightly. I turned and softly lifted his arm off me. Then I sat up and yawned. I felt an arm snake around my waist and smiled. "No not yet just lay here with me for a little longer." He groaned sitting up and kissing my neck softly.

"I wish I could but I have to be at the office by noon and it's already eight." I said lightly rubbing his arm.

I turned and straddled his lap and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer. He softly bit my bottom lip making soft lightning go through me.
