Chapter 48

I waited until six in the morning to wake up every one. I didn't have to wake Kankuro he woke on his own. At five forty-five he woke up with a small groan when he looked at me.

"You know it isn't normal waking up to see my girlfriend in those types of poses. Most people are still asleep." He complained and I looked at him. "I couldn't sleep so I decided to do this instead it's relaxing." I told him.

"I know but de-stress yoga? How long have you been doing it?" He asked sitting back against the head board of the bed. "Hm it's nearly six now...since like four this morning." I replied standing normally now. I walked over and sat on the bed facing him criss crossed.

"What's eating at you?" He asked tucking hair behind my ear. "This whole mission. I don't like it. It's stressful the closer we get the more uneasy I become." I said closing my eyes and relaxing my face into his hand which was on my cheek.

"Well if there is anything I can do to help just let me know. I'm here to help." He said and I nodded. "This is helping." I said as he softly rubbed my shoulders. "Your tense. You should really soak in a hot bath." He said as I turned and leaned my head against his shoulder. He held onto me tightly as I felt my eye lids droop. Suddenly the tiredness hit me.

A minute later I was asleep in his arms. It felt like a minutes passed and he was shaking me awake. "Hmm?" I asked him. "Wake up we need to go if we are going to make good distance today." Kankuro said and my eyes shot open. I sat up then ran my fingers through my hair. I stood up stretched and put my bag on. I went into the bathroom combed my hair and brushed my teeth then packed everything away.

I walked out of my room and into the next room where they were just sitting being lazy. "Sorry guys I fell asleep earlier. Let's get going if you're ready." I told them and they all got up and grabbed their stuff.

We checked out and walked outside and it was a little chilly. I was glad I decided to wear a hoodie. They looked at me and I nodded. "We're going the long way. I would have went through the mountain pass but it's too late now and I don't want to endanger any of you. Plus if we go around the base of the mountain then we will come upon a cute little cafe. Me and my...student stopped there once when we were traveling." I informed them.

They nodded without complaint and we walked a little way until we got out of the little village and Kankuro grabbed my hand and cupped my face with his other hand.

"Don't worry. What ever is bothering you we can fight off together. Just know that I'm here okay?" He asked and I nodded looking into his eyes. He bent down and kissed me softly. "I love you Kankuro...you know that right?" I asked him and he paused for a second.

"Yeah I know. I love you too and that's why I trust you to tell me if something is really bothering you." He said. I sighed and kissed him again. "You're too good for me sometimes." I said and he chuckled as we walked hand in hand.

We walked for a few hours and when the sun was going down then finally arrived at the little cafe. We walked in and was greeted by the old man who ran the place. "Akemi darling who are your friends?" The old man's wife asked coming out from the back and smiling at me. I kindly greeted them with hugs and kissed both their cheeks.

"This is my team. Kankuro is the sand ninja I told you about. Then there is Neji he has the really long hair and cold blue eyes. Then Tenten she is the only other girl with me this time. Then Rock Lee. He is my best friend the one with Shiney black hair and a green jump suit." I explained to them and the old lady greeted them all with hugs even Neji who was really kind to them. The old man only nodded to them.

"So he is the one you walked about when you brought in little Akuma?" He asked walking over and looking up at Kankuro who was a lot taller than him. He pulled him down to eye level.
