Another Kankuro Love Story

~Time skip to check out~

After checking out of the hospital three day's later I was summoned to the Kazekage office probably to ask questions or something.

On my way to the building I sort of got lost. While trying to find my way I bumped into man. "Sorry!" I exclaim bowing my head. "Hey! Next time watch where your going!" A strange man with purple face paint in a black jump suit said turning around to look at me I flinched at how his tone was. "S-Sorry I didn't mean to yell I'm just a little agitated because I was summoned to the Kazekage office."

"So was I. Maybe you can help me find it you see I just got out of the hospital and actually just came to this village so I don't know where anything is." I said tilting my head to look him in the eyes.

"Um...sure I can show you. Oh, and by the way I'm Kankuro." He said starting to walk in a random direction. "I'm..." I said trailing off. Should I tell him my name? What if he finds out who my family is? Then I am in real trouble. Although he seems like a person I can trust so why not. "I'm Akemi." I said purposely leaving the last name off.

~Time skip to the Kazekage part~

"Thanks for showing me the way. Who knows where I would have been if I hadn't ran into you." I said with a embarrassed chuckle. "No problem good thing we ran into each other sense we were going to the same place."

*knock knock*

"Enter" I heard on the from the other side of the door. When I Opened the door I seen a man sitting beside a desk and a red head on the other side. Who looked like he could kill every one and not even blink. Creepy. Although some how I had the feeling we would get along.

"You must be the girl found outside the village. Am I correct?" The man I assumed was the Kazekage asked. "Yes sir. If I may why was I summoned here?" I asked respectfully because that seemed like the correct thing to do.

"When you were found you were almost dead. You're luck you got so close to the village or you would have been dead. That is not the important part. So first off I need to ask you questions. One. Who are you?" I nodded then answered "I am Akemi Hokigaki." I answered giving him a false last name. "Ok. Second. How did you get here?" He asked very intense.

"Well you see...I'm very bad at direction so I kinda just got lost but I'm pretty sure I was meaning to get here." I lied but heard soft chuckles behind me. Then suddenly remembered Kankuro behind me. I ignored it the best I could.

Returning my attention to the Kazekage. "Third. Where are your parents Akemi?" He asked me I suddenly paused. Thinking this over I can't say my mother ran away when I was born leaving my sister and I with a abusive shark father who is also apart of the Akatsuki. "Well?" He asked patiently.

"Um...um...my mother ran away when I was born so I never met her my father always told me she died. My father he died a few years back and so did my sister Hana." I lied once again. The room was silent for a little while.

"Last question. How did they die?" He asked and I kind of think he new I was lying to him. "My father was crushed by falling rocks. My mother as I said I have no idea where she is. Finally my sister." I said looking down at the ground. "She was captured by bandits. Was raped and beaten badly and by some miracle she escaped and came back to my father and I. We assumed she was fine after a couple of years but...she wasn't obviously because she took her own life." I said starting to cry remembering how I left my sister for my own sake. "It was my fault I was he big sister and I couldnt even protect her. I never should have left her at the house alone for so long. That is my mistake I can never fix and I feel like dying evrytime I think of her." I actually was crying now because I really did just up and abandon her with that monster.

Once again the room was silent. Then I heard movement behind me then felt a light pat on my back then Kankuro walked past me to whisper in the Kazekage's ear. "OK. Kankuro will show you around the village and in the mean time you will be staying in a guest room. Oh and sorry to ask this but... Do you know any sort of ninja art's?" He asked reluctantly.

"Mhm!" I hummed looking up from the ground the tears now gone. "Good then Kankuro will show you around town will take you to a training ground to see if you are worthy to be a Sand ninja." He said I just nodded my head in agreeance.
