Eventually I got bored and started playing with different jutsu I had. I tried to get my fire to start in the water but it didn't work. I looked at Neji who was still shivering. I for some stupid reason tried to breath through my mouth then started coughing. I then suddenly looked around and frowned.

I quickly got rid of the water and looked at everyone.

"What happened? I thought we were trying not to go to sleep. I didn't know I was going to be thrown into water." I told them and they looked at me. "Well you did this to yourself." Kankuro told me as he handed me a towel.

I looked at Neji who was shivering. I walked over to him and opened his towel. "What are you doing?" He asked as I hugged him. "Drying you off." I told him. "I don't think hugging will dry me off." He said then sighed as I started heating myself up.

It was like a steam dry. He quit shivering and once I felt like he was dry I pulled away from him. "Now hypothermia isn't a problem." I said and finished drying myself. I looked up and around as I did. "This is just crazy. This whole mission is crazy." I said looking over at Kankuro who was carefully inspecting the tree.

I walked over to him and he glanced at me. "I don't see why someone would just sit this trap up and just leave it." He said to me. "They didn't. I seen someone but they ran off." I told him. "You didn't go after them or tell one of us so we could?" He asked me.

"I wonder why it's not like a giant tree didn't nearly crush Naji and I or anything. I don't know it was probably the ringing or blurry vision that got me. I don't know why I just didn't get up and chase after them even though I had a messed up arm at the time could barely see or hear and I most certainly wasn't concerned about my teammate who was almost killed." I said sarcastically. He looked at me with an annoyed look.

"Sorry you did that to yourself." I told him as he ran his had across the base of the tree. "Yeah but usually you would have gone after them hurt or not." He said dusting his hands off.

"That's the not captain Akemi. The captain Akemi has to be a little more responsible and a little less do what ever the hell I feel like." I told him. He looked at me for a second. "You two didn't dodge out of the way you pulled him out of the way and shielded him." He said and I felt my eyes narrow.

"What are you talking about?" I asked him. "I'm not stupid. He probably didn't even catch it. He would have died if you wouldn't have seen it because from what I can tell...the paper bomb that was on this should have been near impossible to spot. Much less the trip wire. You protected him." I bit my lip as he finished talking.

"What was that about being responsible?" He asked me. I said nothing to him. "Hello?" He said getting irritated.

"You know what? I don't owe you an explanation I don't owe anyone a reason as to why I protected him or anyone else. I just react and that's it. Also as I see it that is being responsible because a good captain will do anything to protect her team because they were trusted to be in good hands and a captain can't be a captain if she doesn't have a team because she did not make the right move.

So quit doubting me. You are supposed to be my biggest supporter over anyone else. Yes you should tell me when I made the wrong choice but other than that you shouldn't even waver in your faith in me." I told him crossing my arms. "Why is that?" He asked with narrowed eyes.

"Because you're my boyfriend, teammate, and best friend. You should know by now to just trust me." I told him and I seen the anger slowly drip away from his eyes. "You're right. I shouldn't doubt you." He said making my jaw drop a little.

"Let's just get going. We lost a lot of daylight." I told him then walked over to the team and told them to get ready. Once they were ready we sat out once again. I kept replaying the tree incident in my head. "If you don't stop you're going to fry your brain." Kankuro said making me look up.
