It had been three weeks since I had left the village. Akuma had continued to progress in her strength and emotions.

We traveled every couple of weeks. Seeing new villages. Training in new climates. I taught as much as I could about surviving. She was smart which made it easy on me.

Although she picked up my clothing style which I didn't expect Saskue to enjoy.

~One day in a cafe~

"Hey Ne-san can I get tea pork ramen and a piece of cake?" She asked with a pouty lip. "Sure. Just cause you trained really hard last night." I told her. She smiled. "Thanks." I spotted the mission bored for people needing money.

After we ate I paid then looked at the mission bored. Akuma read over some too. "How about this one? It wants a clan of bandits wiped out." I shook my head. Then I found one about a bear needing taken care of. It was killing animals in a near by village.

"This will do." I told her stuffing the paper into my coat pocket. "Ready to go Akuma?" She nodded. "I think this mission will be fun." She said prancing slightly. She was pretty energetic.

"I don't like the cold weather." I said shivering. "Well of course not. You have spent most of your time in a desert. The cold isn't your strong suit." She said. "Yeah I know. I'm really rusty on the cold climates." I told her. She giggled then hugged me from the side. "You're the best Ne-san I could ever have."

"Saskue never let me order cake from places. He said I shouldn't put that stuff in my body." I rolled my eyes. "Saskue doesn't understand the importance of eating cake. He doesn't like sweets. He is a butt like that. If he doesn't like nobody else should. I think everyone should eat cake. It is a good food." She nodded.

"I like cake too. I also like ice cream candy and juice." She told me skipping along with my steps. "Me too. I don't like candy as much but I like the other stuff." I told her pulling my collar up around my neck. Suddenly a gust of wind blew up then made my coat flap around. I put my arms around myself with a shiver.

"See? Trench coats can be a burden but they are warm too." I rolled my eyes. I made sure my fur gloves were on tight then buttoned my coat up. "After this we are going to a tropical climate." I told her firmly.

"Okay Ne-san. I'll follow you where ever you go." She said sweetly.

Eventually the weeks turned to months and the months into a year. Akuma grew smarter and stronger. But her constant being around me made my personality rub off slightly.

~at not a cold climate anymore.~

I smiled as Akuma giggled. She was being buried in the sand by a couple of kids and as Kuro pranced around in the sand near me. I sat on the edge of the water feeling the water splash against me. "H-Hi. I'm Klay my dumb friends told me to come talk to you." A male around my age said.

"Can I sit?" I shrugged. "What's your name?" He asked nicely. "Akemi."

"So Akemi. Do you live around here?" I shrugged. "I live here. I live in the leaf the sand the rain. Pretty much anywhere I want." I told him straight forward. "I see. Well I was wondering if you want to go for a walk along the shore line with me?" I stared at the boy.

"Do I not frighten you?" I asked he shook his head. "I find you very pretty actually." He said with a slightly blush. "This isn't just cause I'm wearing a swim suit is it?" I asked him. "Not at all." He said with a small hand wave.

"Alright. Kuro come on." My cat looked up from pestering a small crab. He ran over to me. I looked at Akuma. "Come on Akuma. Let's go for a walk." She nodded then waved bye to the children. We walked down the shore line. The boy along with Akuma and Kuro.
