Chapter 52

The next morning we moved out ready for the mission to be over.

Not only was my shoulder messed up but now my collar bone as well was messed up. I couldnt take another fight and stay on my feet for very long. That's exactly why Waylon's assistant had to attack us.

We were just casually walking toward the village when out of nowhere he attacked us. I sensed it quickly and blocked him. He came out with a kick that looked and felt just like Lee's hurricane kick.

I paid dearly but couldn't think about that at the moment. I blocked it then countered his attack with a foot to his face as hard as I could. I was glad Tamari forced me to do stretches and stuff at that moment. Although he decided to attack at the wrong moment because my shoulder was completely in pain.

I went down to my knees and gritted my teeth then bent and put my forehead to the ground. The pain was unbearable.

I gripped my shoulder tightly and letting out a sharp breath. I felt the kick coming but didn't move because I was in too much pain to move. It hurt pretty bad he got me right in the rib cage. I felt a Crack go through them. It was nothing compared to my shoulder though.

I opened my eyes just in time to see Kankuro and Lee step in the way. Tenten was guarding the prisoners while Neji grabbed me and got me out of the cross fire.

I pushed away from him to watch they were holding their own pretty well against him. I watched at they fought in sync. It amazed me a little. That was until something went wrong. Lee got a terrible kick to the head knocking him to the ground and he didn't move.

Tenten ran over immediately and Neji took her guarding spot. Kankuro was left alone. He wasn't meant to fight up close so of course he was loosing. I watched as he was punched in the face twice then went to the ground.

The boy kept kicking him until he was barely awake. I moved then tackled him and started doing everything I could. He threw me off him then looked at Kankuro again. Then smiled.

"So he's the one that makes you snap?" He asked wickedly. I glared at him and he walked over to Kankuro and picked him up by his hair. I nearly gasped when I seen his face. Kankuro had a black eye a bleeding lip and nose. His cheek was bruised too.

Just when I thought everything was going to be ruined Sasuke came out of nowhere and kicked the boy away from Kankuro.

"Sasuke!" I said loudly running up to him and wrapping my arms around him. "I missed you so much." I said as he ruffled my hair.

As the boy picked himself up another one came out and attacked Neji. I wasn't worried though because Neji was really good at close combat. Also Sasuke was here and Tenten was literally three feet from him.

The boy came at us again and Sasuke moved to attack him but the boy dodged and hit me in the face. I went down on one knee as Sasuke sent him flying. I stood up then felt a sharp shove on my shoulder then I went down and someone repeatedly stepped on my shoulder making me scream in pain.

The weight lifted off and I looked to see that Talon had tackled Waylon to the ground. Sasuke looked at me and nodded as he held onto the kid tightly. I ran and used Sasuke as a support sort of then got on the kids shoulders and held onto his head.

Sasuke carefully gave me one hand and I pricked two of his fingers. I touched it to his temple then I pricked two of mine and touched it to his other. Then the boy went still and quit fighting. My vision went blank then refocused into reality. I got off the boy and looked at Sasuke.

"Thanks for showing up." I said and he nodded. "Of course I wasn't going to let you or anyone here that I care for die. I was passing by and sensed you in distress, and had to come." He said and I smiled then heard a soft groan and immediately ran to Kankuro's side.
