Song: Meant to be by Bebe Rexha ft Florida Georgia Line.

"You're here again."

The groggy words caught Will's attention and he sat up in his chair and focused his gaze on Bev. He had been unaware of how far his thoughts had strayed.

"Aren't you supposed to be a big deal around here? Yet every day you're here, using me as an excuse to slack off."

Will grinned at her grumpy tone as he leaned forward and placed the plastic cup of coffee he'd been sipping on, on the table beside her bed.

"I have the day off." He said simply with a smile.

"Oh God, no." Beverly feigned a look of horror, "does this mean that I'm stuck with you all day today?"

"That's right," he said, "and if you stop complaining, I might pop out for lunch, and sneak in some real food for you."

She gasped at that, "can I please get a burger?" she asked, "and fries! I've missed fries."

"If you behave," He teased and then shrugged, "we'll see."

He stood as she attempted to sit up, and pushed a button on the bed frame that gradually raised the head of the bed to an almost upright position.

"Thanks," She said.

He nodded as he retook his seat, "do you feel any headaches or fatigue after waking in the morning?" He asked.

"No. But does being tired of being in this hospital and laying in bed all day count? Because there's that."

He nodded and proceeded to give her the news he knew she would appreciate: "Then you'll be glad to hear that you're being discharged."

She perked up at that, "That's great!" She said, and then frowned at him, "you're not messing with me are you?"

He shook his head, "No. We're waiting on a few tests, but after that, I think it's safe to say that you'll be released into your parents care tomorrow."

"Ohhh," she sighed. A sound that brought back all sorts of, illicit memories for him.

"No flying back to Miami for at least the next week." He warned, "and I'll expect to see you in a month's time."

"Actually, about that, " she said, "I was thinking that I should probably just have my checkups at Miami Med. Just to save on cost of flying back here you know?"

He nodded, even as he felt a twinge in his chest. "That's reasonable. We can have your files transferred."

She nodded as they stared at one another for several seconds.

"Still, you should probably expect to hear from me, from time to time." He said quietly. "I would hate for us to become strangers again."

She nodded and looked down at her hands. "Do you remember what Raven told us that last day, about haunting us from beyond the grave?"

He nodded.

"You think that with everything that's happened, that she somehow engineered this? Us meeting now, years later?"

"I think that if Raven was going to put someone in front of a moving vehicle, it would probably be me." Will responded. "For cheating on her."

Bev smiled. "You're probably right," she gave a sigh, "but, we both cheated on her, and then broke the promise we made. Something tells me she's been up there laughing her ass off at us these past few weeks."

"That would be just like her actually," Will agreed, " I can just hear her going "gotcha" to the both of us."

"What're ya gonna do now hot-shot?" Bev added softly, smiling as Will nodded.
