THE LINGERING SCENT of sweat infiltrated Daisy's nose as she stood in the center of the Beacon Hills High gym. That day, their physical education class was required to climb a near fifty-foot tall rock wall to be able to pass with a high grade. According to Coach Finstock, at least. Her arms and legs were still sore from her own climb, while she watched Scott and Allison were perched a third of the way up.

Daisy knew she should have been paying attention, or somewhat acknowledged Stiles blabbing away at her side. But, her mind was consumed with the events that had transpired over the last few days.

After Isaac was broken out of the holding cell at the sheriff's station, the boy had disappeared without a trace. Daisy knew not want to worry, she did not want to worry, even though her friend was now a wanted fugitive. He was most likely hiding out with Derek somewhere off the beaten path and would remain there until the Alpha needed him or he was exonerated. She assumed the former would occur sooner.

To her surprise, Isaac's trouble with the law was not their only concern. During the full moon, Scott and Allison were at the Lahey residence when they were attacked by a strange creature. It had yellow glowing eyes and a thick long tail and was able to scale the walls without difficulty. None of them had any idea what the creature was, but they knew that it was the thing that ripped Isaac's father to shreds.

Daisy was brought out of her thoughts when a boyish yelp sounded across the gym. She looked up just in time to see Scott plummet to the ground before being stopped inches from the blue padded mat by his harness. Allison laughed loudly from the top of the fake rock wall, while the rest of the students chuckled at his fall. Even the coach laughed at the boy's unfortunate incident.

"McCall, I don't know why, but your pain gives me a special kind of joy." He shook his head, before glancing at the clipboard in his hands. "Right? Alright, next two. Stilinski, Erica. Let's go. The wall." He called out.

The blonde crossed her arms over her black and white baseball tee and watched them take to the wall. Scott had stripped of his harness and claimed Stiles's previous spot at her side. They remained silent for a for a few moments, until the werewolf opened his mouth to speak.

"So, I'm going to tell Stiles that we probably shouldn't go to the rink tonight." He voiced lowly, but Daisy made no indication to retort. "I just think we have other things to worry about. You know, with Allison's grandfather becoming the principal, that thing last night, and Isaac..."

Daisy rolled her eyes when his words trailed off. "Saying his name isn't a crime, you know. And I agree. I wasn't going anyway."

Scott glanced toward her with raised brows. "What? Why?"
