Do you remember when the night was our playground?

Do you remember when the bed was our home and each other was our solace

Do you, of all, people,

Remember how I cried for you in the parking lot of that unfamiliar Walmart

Do you remember when you smiled and held me with the lights on?

Do you remember when you put that necklace on me?

Do you remember the look in my eyes when you gave me the necklace?

Do you remember when you left me you didn't try to make love to me one last time

Do you remember how my body feels looking into your eyes

Do you remember how I looked when I was sleeping

Do you remember the nights we would stay up talking about nothing

Do you remember the first message you ever sent to me?

I do.

Do you remember the way it felt when our lips collided in a building rustier than our fragile bones

Do

You

Do you remember how I was there for you when you were alone in the cold

Do you remember when I stayed with you, freezing, giving you my jackets when you were throwing up your veins?

I remember every single one.

Do you remember me crying myself to sleep when you held me down?

Do you remember seeing the tears stream from my eyes when you admitted you still liked someone else?

Do you remember,

No,

Can you imagine what it's like for me to see that you lied?

Do you remember hearing me vomit my heart out and hope you would catch it?

Or do you remember when I was in agony, lying there and you left me alone?

Do you remember all the things I had done for you?

Do you remember all the times I stayed in the cold for you?

Do you remember all the times I stood in the rain for you?

All the times when I stood by your side?

When I was there trying to make things up to you?

Trying to show you that you are never alone?

Do you

Remember

Do

You

Remember

Do you remember that night under the stars lying on the bed of your truck?

Do you remember our special place at the college?

Do you remember the drunken night that was so intensely passionate that I thought it was a drunken dream?

Do you remember the feeling of our skin running so smoothly against each other like silk?

Do you remember the way our hands intertwined?

Do you know which side I lay on?

My left?

Or my right?

Do you remember the taste of my lips?

Do you remember the ache in your chest when our life was a wreck and we were stuck in a place with nowhere to go?

Do you remember refusing to let me sleep in a car alone?

Do you remember me giving you the blanket?

Do you remember me giving you all my money for your gas to get to work and pick up your friends?

Do you remember the first song I ever sang to you in person?

Do you remember the date of our first passionate night?

Do you remember my favorite color?

Do you remember my favorite song?

Do you

Do you even remember?
