Chapter 3

"Sam!" Louis says as he walks towards me. He gave me a hug and I almost fainted. The butterflies in my stomach came so quickly I couldn't help but blush. He greets Lily with a gentle smile and that made me feel special. He didn't hug her. A small smile appears on my face.

"So, I was thinking we could play hide and seek, but outside too. Like me and Sam versus Lily and Stan?"

Me and Sam? Did he just say that?! I would be mad if he chose Lily, but he didn't!! Louis looks at me and smiles. He walks closer to me and whispers, "I chose you because I don't know lily well... We'll make a great team." Oh. I try not to smile huge, just calm. We debate in wether who should count first, it didn't take long enough for someone to actually offer.

"Sure! We'll count first" Lily says.

"Count to 100!" Louis says.

Me and Louis run down the hall as if we were being chased by killers or something. He opened up the door and we ran upstairs. He was pushing me to go faster up the stairs until we made it to his room.

"Over here Sam!" Louis says pointing to his closet.

A closet? Aren't closets small? He gets in first and then I am told to get in. It wasn't big enough for the both of us so Louis had me sit on his lap. I felt so uncomfortable and I didn't want to move because I may hurt him. I feel his eyes on me and I try not to act like I notice.

"Don't talk alright? Haha" Louis says. I nod, showing I understood what he said. The whole time we were in here I kept thinking "can this get any better?" Until Louis realized Lily and Stan were looking for us outside, not inside. We were able to talk for a little.

"So Sam, we've been locker neighbors the whole year and I don't know much about you... What's your favorite color? Food? Hobby?"

I laugh, "umm.. Purple, Cupcakes, and swimming.. Tomlinson, I don't know much about you."

"Well Sam, Blue...Carrots.. and soccer"

We hear footsteps, "shhh.. They're coming" Louis says. I cover my mouth and he lets out a laugh. I slap his hands gently and he replies with a tap on the head. I couldn't help but laugh.

For the next five minutes we didn't talk at all.... We heard footsteps walk in his room and Louis pulled me closer to him, hoping we could hide under the small pile of clothes I'm guessing that were dirty because his scent of cologne spread across the closet. It smelled nice-ish. The scent is familiar and I recognize the scent from Louis at school.

"Sorry!" Louis whispers about the cologne.

Just a second later the closet door opens and Stan spots us. "AHA! You get to count now!!" He screams running. I start laughing at Stan and Louis joins. I forgot we were sitting in a closet. I get up first and then pull out my hand to help Louis up. "Thanks, love" he replies. Love? I can get use to this! We start counting and we both sit on Louis' bed waiting until I get to 100.

We start looking for Stan and Lily, then we split up, I look for Stan and he looks for Lily. I have to admit I was jealous when he looked for Lily and not Stan. I was sad that me and Louis split. After about an hour of playing the game we decide to all go home since tomorrow was a weekend. We all said we would hang out this weekend but I don't know if I can.

"Bye Louis" I say.
"Bye Sam" he says a bit more sad.

Me and Sam walk to my house and have a sleepover. We planned to stay up and watch shows and movies. I knew I wouldn't last long. There was only 10 days of school left and I was worried the whole night. Would Louis still talk to me next year? Will Louis still be my friend? All those questions came to me until I found myself asleep.
