Chapter 28: SAMAL

Two days of wandering around Davao City was really fun. I never explore this place before. Like what Bea told me, yes I've been here pero wala kaming time to stroll around.

On our day two here, we went to Crocodile Park for those reptiles. We also went night shopping and we ate at Mindanao China Town and at Roxas Avenue Market. But what I love the most with our second day here is when we visited Museo Dabawenyo. Mind you, there's no entrance fee there and you'll fall in love with the place. Libre magmahal dun mga bes.

It was great! Well, just set aside the fact that Bea and Maddie were not with us because they were busy with their Quinceñera business here. Super pagod ako, most of us actually because the distance of each places is no joke.

"All set, guys?!" Ate Ly asked us. Nandito na kami sa labas ng hotel at wala pang araw dahil mag-aalas singko palang ng umaga.

My teammates wildly nodded and shouted. Mapapansin mo ang pamumungay ng mga mata nila dahil sa pagod at antok but no one can stop them. Excited silang lahat pumunta ng Samal. Everyone's been looking for this trip- a beach trip. Kaya kahit pagod kahapon at mga kulang sa tulog, ang tataas pa rin ng energies nila.

"Let's just wait for Bea and Maddie then we're good to go." I heard their dismay expressions after ate Ly said that. I know they're just joking though, everyone wants us to be complete for this trip.

Nag-asaran at kulitan lang sila while waiting. They keep teasing Ria because she's somewhat looks like Charice Pempengco daw. And they keep on roasting ate Ki and Ponggay because the two of them seems closer than before.

Pinanuod ko lang sila at nakitawa. Kahit papano nabawasan ang pagkainis ko dahil sa kanila.

Inis. Yeah, my greatest pet peeve is waiting. And Bea and Maddie always keep us waiting lately.

"Okay! That's enough. They're here na." Ate Ki pointed somewhere.

We saw the headlight of Audi S8 car owned by Maddie's dad and we heard a beep of it in few seconds time. Finally!

"BOOOO!" Everyone yell the moment Bea and Maddie went out the car. Bea is still wearing her Deshabille pajama set while Maddie is wearing a summer floral cold shoulder dress from Sunnyday sweety na sobrang nagpatingkad sa kulay niya.

"Maddie's fault! Maddie's fault!" Nakisigaw na rin si Bea habang tumatawa at tinuturo pa si Maddie.

"Anong ako? Ikaw kaya! Tulog mantika." Maddie even rolled her eyes na mas nagpalawak ng ngiti ni Beatriz.

Oo nga naman. Between them, mas halatang nagising ng maaga si Maddie.

"Why do we always need to wait for you two?" Jaime complained pero sinundan lang rin naman ng whoop from her. She's excited, eh.

"Ang aga naman kasi." Bea scratched her head. "And I was so tired!"

"Uhhm!" Therese fake a cough and she has this coltish smile. "Pinagod mo, Mads?" Nakita ko ang matalim na tingin ni Maddie sa kanya. Kim even elbowed her then Trey mouthed "What?" But Kim just shook her head.

Oh! That's a slap for me, ah. Clearly, my teammates doesn't have an idea about my feelings towards Beadel.

"Nope! Therese, ah! What's running inside your mind?" Bea made this 'tsssk' sound and pinches Therese's cheeks. "Let's get going! Sunrise is a must for this girl." I'm beside Trey so Bea puts her arm on my shoulder and guided me going inside the van. She knows I love sunrise?

"How's your sleep?" She's asking me about my sleep pero mas mukha siyang walang tulog kesa sa akin.

"Okay naman." I simply answered. She looks at me. Yung tipong mas sumisingkit pa ang singkit niyang mga mata.
