"Jhoana!" I know that voice. I'm so familiar to it to the point that I wanna hate myself memorizing it unconsciously before.

It was once a melody to me and I hate to say this, but not it's a curse to my ears.

I'm sorry, ears, pero konti tiis, ah?

"Bat ka nandito?" Coldness is evident in my voice.

"I just wanna talk to you sana." Lakas ng loob, teh?

"Daming time? Sorry pero wala ako non, eh. Bye!"

But this creature grabbed my hand, making me stop.

Ipinikit ko ng mariin ang mga mata ko. "Bitaw!" Pero hindi niya ginawa. "Ano bang kailangan mo?"

"Ikaw. Pwede ba tayong magsimula sa simula?" Natawa ako sa sinabi niya. Was that a joke?

"Nagpapatawa ka, bes?"

"Jho, please."

"Uhm, what's happening here?" Nakahinga ako ng maluwag when I saw someone. But, I somehow feel ill at ease as she looks into our hands.

"Nag-uusap lang kami. Tara na? Late na tayo!" I held her hand pero di pa rin binibitawan ng isang to ang kamay ko.

"Jho, mag-usap tayo. Ibalik natin yung dati. Best friends tayo, di ba?" Pakiusap niya.

Kapal, bes. Yung ako ang nagmakaawa dati, pinakinggan mo ba?

"Excuse me? As far as I know, ako na yung best friend ngayon." Singit ni Beatriz na ikinagulat ko. "Yeah, you were best friends until you hurt her."

"Si Jho ang sadya ko dito so please wag ka munang makialam." Bea smirks at him, a bitter one.

"Sorry pero I think nasa teritoryo kita. So back off?" I know she's doing her all to sounds cool pero deep inside she wanna explode.

They looked at each other. No, I mean glare. It's like they are going to kill with their eyes.

"Umalis ka na. Wala na tayong dapat pag-usapan." I broke their staring contest at hinila na ang kamay ko from him. "Bea, let's go!"

"You heard it, Abraham. Get lost!" Bea even sarcastically waves goodbye to him and started walking.

Since we are holding hands, nadala niya na rin ako. We're like a PDA couple na holding hands while walking. I blush at that thought, but I easily scratched it.

"Ano bang ginagawa ng gagung yun dito?" Bea seems irritated.

"Malay ko. Wala atang magawa sa buhay."

She stopped walking so I did the same thing. She looks at me firmly. It's like she wanna say something, but I don't know what it is.

"Don't go near him again. Please." And with that, she left me. Standing alone in the middle of the sun.

"Ate Jho, ang init dito, ah. Bat mag-isa ka?"

"What's with the face, ate Jho? You're like solving a math problem."

Good thing Deanna Wong and Ponggay Gaston came.

Deanna Wong. Nagmula sa angkan ng mga atleta. Being an athlete runs in her blood. Her father is a basketball coach and her cousins dominate the basketball world. Simple at boyish, tahimik at times, but she's good to be with.

"Ah, wala. Tara na? Malapit na mag1:30." They both looked at the digital clock in front then they nodded.

One good thing about my teammates? They know when and when not to ask. Marunong makiramdam.
