He's back! He's still not his usual self, but at least he's back with me. I missed him so much. We've agreed to down play his illness this week – we don't want to use it to fish for votes. They agreed to switch our filming for It Takes Two so that we could get in more rehearsal time and he could get a bit better. I can see he's tiring more easily than usual. And I have to say; I'm not loving the cha cha. Straight legs? What bit of the foot should I be using? Which beat am I moving on? Meh, I miss ballroom. Oh no, Mollie, I have to be sexy again too!
I'll put in as many hours as he can manage to get this right. I just don't have a good feeling about it. Ellen keeps saying we are approaching the 'shock bottom two' which is apparently a thing every year where two rather good couples meet each other in the dance off and everyone acts as though it's a big surprise. I've been in the middle of the leader board every week. Ellen says that it is a dangerous place to be – the bottom end of the board tend to get a sympathy vote and the top end are good enough to get through. Even if I do well on the cha cha, I'm pretty certain I'll be in that middle of the leader board again. I just can't keep up with the others. It's just like everything else – I seem to have to work harder to make the grade.
Stop it, Mollie! Stay positive! You are doing your best. Stop over-worrying and get back out there and learn the dance!
