Christmas in Manchester is beautiful. They go all out here with the decorations and the markets. It looks like a fairytale. But then, I guess everything seems more magical when you're with someone you love. It was like something out of a film, him meeting me at the station and going off to do some Christmas shopping together. Knowing how much people are willing us to be together, wanting us to be happy, we posted a little selfie to my instastory. Just for the fans to see, two happy faces, back together. A little bonus, a mini Christmas-miracle. We took the story down after a few minutes. The rest is for us. Besides, we weren't just here to shop.

It's been how many days since the final of Strictly? Four days? Is that all? So clearly, it was time for a mini Strictly reunion! Simon had invited some of us to Albert's Schloss to see the caberet. What a show! Just what was needed to lift the spirits post-Strictly. We drank, we ate, we danced, we sang (well, AJ tried) and we laughed. Simon's family were there too, it was such a friendly atmosphere. Relaxed. Then we left...

It was such a short walk to the hotel, yet there were the cameras. Paparazzi. We didn't engage with them, just held hands and tried our best to get to the hotel as quickly as possible, flashes following us all the way. Had the cute selfie on insta triggered this? Were we to blame? Gemma and Simon didn't get chased. Just us, like we are a commodity. Ever since we had been linked romatically, I feared that might be the case. But tonight is not a night for such concerns. I look up at the hotel bathroom mirror as I brush my teeth. It's not his hotel room. It's not my hotel room. It's ours.
