Heading downstairs she gets something quick to eat when she hears Mary walk in.
Walking into the kitchen Mary sees her, "Wow! What are you up to today?" she asks Shaylynn.
"I have some business I need to take care of!" Shaylynn tells her putting her dishes in the dishwasher, "Jay gets up, you never saw me!" she tells Mary.
"Okay, I never saw you!" Mary says, "Just stay safe!" she tells Shaylynn.
Shaylynn smiles at Mary then walks out to the coat closet. She takes her coat out, puts it on and heads to the door that leads out to the garage.
The garage door goes up as she walks over to her car. Getting in she starts it up then hurries and backs down the driveway.

Parking a few blocks from the address Emily gave her, Shaylynn gets out of her car and starts walking toward the house.
As she gets closer she takes her gun out of its holster, walks up to the front door kicking it open.
Camila starts running for the back door, she stops when Shaylynn shoots the backdoor window shattering it.
She turns around to see Shaylynn has her gun aimed at her, "What do you want?"
"I want you to stop fucking around with my husband!" Shaylynn tells her, "If you follow him, text him, call him, ANYTHING I'll put a bullet in your head!"
As Shaylynn's standing there, the sound of tires squealing to a stop can be heard.
Shaylynn looks out a window and sees a couple of familiar cars. She turns around and pistol whips Camila who falls to the floor.
Running to the back door, Shaylynn runs out as Atwater, Ruzek, and Antonio come in through the front door.
Once outside, Shaylynn takes off running only to be tackled to the ground.
Being turned over, Shaylynn looks up to see Halstead looking down at her in shock.
"Shaylynn, what the hell are you doing here?" he asks her.
"Get off me!" Shaylynn yells pushing him off her than standing up, "That bitch followed Emily and me yesterday! When she saw two women get out of your truck she took off like a bat out of hell! Jay, Camila knew your fucking truck! How did she know what your personal truck looked like?!"
Halstead just looks at her but doesn't answer her, "Again why are you here?" he asks her.
"To tell her to keep the fuck away from you!" Shaylynn tells him with a pissed off look on her face.
"Halstead, did you get the other person that was in here?" Antonio radios to him.
Shaylynn stares at him, "Negative, they got away!" Halstead radios back.
"Alright! We have enough drugs and money to take Camila in but stay out of sight in case someone bails her out!" Antonio radios back to him.
Halstead looks at Shaylynn who's glaring at him, he starts shaking his head, "Shaylynn I love you and only you! I would never do anything to put our relationship in jeopardy! How can I prove that to you?!" he asks her.
"Stop going undercover when there are women involved! Let someone else who doesn't have six kids and a wife do it!" she tells him.
Halstead turns around and starts walking away from her, "Well!" she yells at him.
He turns around, "I told you already I can't do that!"
Shaylynn gives him a pissed off look, "Fine! Then I'm telling my Dad I'll do the undercover job he asked me to do!"
"What job is that?" Halstead asks her.
"The strip club one!" she tells him and starts walking away.
Halstead hurries and grabs her arm, "The hell you are!" he tells her.
Shaylynn pulls her arm out of his grasp, "If you can't get out of undercover jobs than I can help with whatever case I'm asked to help on!"
"It's a strip club! Kim or Hailey can do it!" Halstead tells her.
Shaylynn starts laughing, "The strip club owner is partial to blondes, so Kim is out of the question. As for Hailey, she doesn't quite have the ASSets for a job like this!"
Shaylynn starts walking away from him in the direction of her car, she turns around, "I heard what Antonio said! You're still working this fucking case since you didn't run inside with the others!" she yells at Halstead.
She turns back around and walks off.
"That's what happens when you marry a female Voight who happens to be a Marine!" Halstead hears come from behind him.
Halstead turns around and sees Alvin standing behind him, "Al, don't.." Halstead starts to say.
"Don't worry I won't say anything about the other person in the house being Shaylynn!" Alvin reassures him.
"Thanks!" Halstead says turning back around watching Shaylynn disappear around a corner.
"Why didn't you get off this case if she's so dead set of you being off it?" Alvin asks him.
"I couldn't very well ask Voight to let me off! I want to prove myself to him that I'm a damn good detective!" Halstead tells Alvin.
Alvin stares at him, "I know Hank wouldn't have thought less of you if asked him to be taken off this case because Shaylynn's uncomfortable with you being on it! He isn't going to let anything come between you and her!"
"So if I say something about not wanting her to do this strip club undercover work, he won't let her?!" he asks Alvin.
Alvin let's out a little laugh, "Don't count on it! You did stay on this case when Shaylynn asked you to get off! You know she's going to tell Hank that!"
Halstead rolls his eyes, "I'm fucked!" he says to Alvin.
"Pretty much!" Alvin tells him, "Take it from me when your wife tells you to get off an undercover case, you get off of it or you'll end up like me with no wife and family!"

Thank you to BeckyJolene for the outfit for Shaylynn.

Sorry for the short chapters on here and Love Deserves A Second Chance.

I've been busy with things this weekend. Instead of holding onto what I've written I just published them as short chapters.

I'll try to get back to publishing fuller chapters but the next couple of weeks are going to be pretty busy for me, so there might be more short chapters coming.

What would you rather I do? Publish the short chapters or hold on to what I've written until I have a longer chapter?

Comment and let me know.
