Snapping her head up, Shaylynn starts screaming. "Shaylynn! You're alright!" Emily tells her after jumping up out of the chair she was sitting in. Shaylynn looks at her like a deer caught in headlights. She wraps her arms around Emily's neck. "Em, is the baby alright?" Shaylynn asks her. Emily backs up, "That's the first time you've ever called me Em," she says smiling. "I'm sorry!" Shaylynn tells her. "No, it's alright!" Emily says then looks at Shaylynn oddly, "The baby's fine! All safe and sound right here," she tells Shaylynn resting her hand on her stomach. Shaylynn looks down and touches her stomach to feel that it's still hard. "What happened to me?" Shaylynn asks. "You went up to the roof but unknown to you, you were given something to help you sleep in your IV. You must have gotten enough because when Jay made it to the roof you were leaning against a wall asleep. He was able to wake you some to get you to your feet and start walking over to the door but you started getting sick, a reaction to the medicine. Jay got you in the stairwell but you kept going in and out of consciousness. I called him to see where he was after he told me I ran into the stairwell to help him get you down. Once we got you down, we were met by Connor and some nurses who had a gurney that you were put on and rushed back to here to get you hooked back up to your IV. That way you could get something to counteract the other medicine," Emily tells her. Shaylynn looks around, "Where's Jay?" she asks. "He ran home to change clothes," Emily tells her. "Oh no! I got sick all over him," Shaylynn says feeling bad. Emily laughs, "Jay doesn't care! He loves you so much, you can't do anything wrong in his eyes. But you must have been having one hell of a dream to wake up screaming." Shaylynn shakes her head, "It was terrible! My head was taking what was really happening to me and changing it around. Instead of getting sick, I was bleeding. After I was put on the gurney, in my dream I was rushed to a surgical room. The cause of the bleeding was because the placenta burst resulting in the baby having to be taken from me and sent to the NICU. At the end I flatlined," she tells Emily. "Everything is fine! You're fine, the baby is fine and safe and sound inside of you," Emily tries to reassure Shaylynn. The door to Shaylynn's room starts to open, Halstead walks in and sees Shaylynn's awake. He walks over to her and kisses her, "Glad to see you're alright!" he tells her. "When can I get out of here?" Shaylynn asks him. "Connor said tomorrow as long as you're doing well," Halstead tells her. Shaylynn grabs his hand, "Will you stay with me tonight?" she asks him. Halstead smiles at her, "Of course," he says. "I better be going," Emily says. Shaylynn motions to Emily to come closer to her. Emily walks over, Shaylynn grabs her and hugs her, "Thank you for being here!" she says into Emily's ear. Emily stands up, "You're welcome!" she says, "I'll see you two later." She walks over to the door and walks out. "Jay, I'm so sorry I got sick on you," she tells him. "It wasn't your fault. Things happen," he tells her, "I'm happy you and munchkin are alright." "Are the kids okay?" she asks them. "They're fine! Kelly's Mom took three, so Mary only has three right now," Halstead tells her. "In a nasty dream I was having, the baby was a boy," Shaylynn tells him. Halstead smiles, "So you think the baby's a boy?" he asks. "My mind thinks it's a boy," she tells him. "That would even it up on my side, two boys, two girls," Halstead says smiling. "Jay, I can't believe you said that!" Shaylynn says looking at him. "What? It's true! Kelly will have two girls and a boy. Where I'll have two of each," Halstead says with a shitty grin.

Ten weeks have gone by.
Shaylynn's in labor and admitted into the hospital in the early morning hours. Three hours later, little Halstead is in the world. Being a proud Daddy once again, Halstead texts out a picture.

A couple of hours later, Dr. Halstead and Dr. Manning stop in before clocking in for work. Walking into Shaylynn's room they see Halstead asleep in a chair but Shaylynn's awake. "Surprised you're awake," Dr. Manning says to her. "The nurses are in and out all the time. I can't sleep through that! I don't know how Jay's sleeping still," Shaylynn says. While Dr. Manning was talking to Shaylynn, Dr. Halstead was washing his hands. He walks over to the bassinet to pick up the baby when he notices the name tag. Looking up at Shaylynn he smiles, "Does Jay know?" he asks her. "No, he doesn't know. The nurse asked me on one of her many trips in here," Shaylynn tells him. "What are you talking about?" Dr. Manning asks as she walks over. She looks at the name tag and also smiles. Dr. Halstead picks up the baby, "Hello, Jay Jr.," he says. "How are you going to call them?" Dr. Manning asks, "You say 'Jay' they'll both say 'what'" "I thought about it and figured we could call him JJ for short," Shaylynn says. Halstead wakes up and sees who's in the room, "How long have I been out?" he asks. "A couple of hours," Shaylynn says. Halstead looks at his brother, "You look good holding a baby!" he says with Dr. Manning giving him a look. Halstead starts laughing, "Then maybe I'll take JJ home with me," Dr. Halstead tells him. Looking at his brother, Halstead wonders what he's talking about, "JJ?" he questions standing up and walking over. He looks at the name tag then looks at Shaylynn and smiles, "Why?" he asks. "Why not?" Shaylynn asks him, "You're an amazing father! Why shouldn't he be named after you." Halstead walks over to Shaylynn and kisses her. After a day in the hospital, Shaylynn and JJ are discharged.

Arriving home, Shaylynn is surprised by a house full of people to welcome them. While the guys are outside, all the ladies are in the living room talking. "Titus and Trinity's first birthday is coming up in a few weeks. Have you decided if you're doing a theme for them?" Emily asks. Shaylynn looks at her surprised, "I totally forgot about it," she says feeling bad. "Don't worry about it! You've had a lot going on," Emily says. "Yeah, no need to stress!" Sam tells her sister. "We all can help put their birthday party together," Natalie chimes in. Shaylynn smiles at them, "Thanks! I really appreciate you guys offering to help," she says, "And I just thought up the perfect theme."
