Hank gets in his car and drives down the street. Getting out, he walks up to Antonio who's standing by the passenger side door. Hank looks in to see James Beckett. He looks over at Antonio with a pissed off look. Walking away, Hank takes out his phone and makes a call. "I want to know how James Beckett got out of prison!" Hank yells into his phone, "I don't care what you have to do to find out, DO IT!" Halstead walks back to Hank, "That's James Beckett!" Hank looks at him, "I know that!" "Why would he be mixed up with these guys for?" Halstead asks. "I don't know," Hank says. Halstead looks and sees Shaylynn walking down the street, "Head's up!" he tells Hank. Hank looks to the side to Shaylynn walking past him and Halstead as she walks up to the SUV. She looks in to see who's in it, then she walks back to where Hank and Halstead are standing. "You two have A LOT of explaining to do!" she tells them pissed off, "When you two are done here I expect you both back at the house! Do you understand?!" Both of them nod at her. Shaylynn walks off and back to the house.

Shaylynn starts walking up to the house to see her boss Brian Luce, Butch, Rob, Dan, and Dave standing on the porch. "Are you alright?" Brian asks her. Shaylynn shakes her head 'no', "James Beckett somehow got out of jail," she tells him. "Who's that?" Butch asks. "He put a bomb on my Dad's car. It almost killed him, Justin, Olive, and Daniel," Shaylynn tells him. Opening the door, Shaylynn walks into the house. She walks to the living room to see only a few have stayed. The TV is on with Disney Junior playing. Will, with Titus on his lap, Natalie, who has Trinity on her lap asleep, Sam, holding Sia, Stone, and Emily, who's holding JJ, are all sitting on the sectional with Burgess and Upton walking around looking out the windows. Shaylynn shakes her head, "What's wrong?" Sam asks. "I can't believe Kelly didn't stick around!" Shaylynn tells her. "He's here. He's upstairs with Shannara, Dominic, and Destiny," Sam tells her. Shaylynn walks over to the stairs and walks up. She walks past Dominic and then Destiny's rooms to see they're not in there. Coming up on Shannara's room Shaylynn opens the door to see Severide sitting back against the headboard with all three kids around him. Looking more closely she sees they're all asleep. She smiles and closes the door. Shaylynn walks downstairs and heads out to the backyard to see the disaster that's been left. Trying not to explode, she takes out her phone, sits down on a chair, and looks through the pictures that were taken before everything went chaotic. Making her way through them she comes to one of Brian and Halstead, she lets out a little laugh.

One of them must have picked up her phone when she laid it down. "What are you laughing at?" she hears Halstead ask her. Looking up she sees Halstead staring back at her. She turns the phone so he can see the picture, "Did you know that this might happen?" she asks him. Halstead nods 'yes', " Why didn't you tell me?!" she questions. "What would you have done?" Halstead asks her. "I would have had Butch and the others armed to the teeth! Plus would have had my stuff out here as well!" Shaylynn tells him. "See, you would have had your arsenal out here around the kids," he tells her. Shaylynn gives him a look, "OUR kids have always been around guns! They know gun safety and know not to touch them! Hell, it's second nature to them to see a gun and not think anything about it! You of all people should have told me!" she yells at him. Shaylynn sees out of the corner of her eye someone walk out the door, she looks over and sees it's Emily with JJ, "Is everything alright?" Emily asks. Halstead nods his head 'yes', "I think someone is getting hungry," Emily tells Shaylynn as she walks over to her. Shaylynn stands up and takes JJ from her, "Thanks for watching over JJ!" she tells Emily. Emily smiles, "It was my pleasure! He's a very laid back baby," she says. "I'm going to take him inside and get him fed," Shaylynn says looking at Halstead she then looks at Emily, "Talk to you later?" she asks. "Of course!" Emily says. Shaylynn walks over to the door, opens it, and walks inside. Emily looks at her brother, "What did you do now?!" she asks, "Let me guess, Shaylynn had no idea these guys were out looking for her?" Halstead looks away, "Jay, you need to start telling your wife these things! One thing I have learned about Shaylynn is she can either be your greatest ally or your worst enemy! Seeing that she's your wife I'm pretty sure you want to keep her on your good side! I have to be going but you need to think about that!" she tells him walking toward him. Emily hugs her brother, "You two are in this together," she says in his ear. She backs up and looks at him, Halstead nods at her. Emily turns and walks down the driveway.
Upstairs Shaylynn's in JJ's nursery feeding him. Walking down the hallway, Severide hears whimpering. Searching for the sound he comes to JJ's door, looks in to see Shaylynn sitting there, "Are you alright?" Severide asks with his back turned to her. Shaylynn looks toward the doorway to see Severide's back, "Kelly, you can come in," she tells him. "I don't think that would be a good idea," Severide tells her. "Why? Because I'm breastfeeding? Kelly, you've seen me naked. Nothing's showing so get in here," she tells him. Severide turns around and walks in. He walks over and sits down on a footstool, "Are you okay?" he asks her. "Jay keeps hiding things from me," she tells him. Severide reads the look on her face, "I know that look and he's not cheating on you so don't even go down that rabbit hole!" he tells her. "And just how do you know that?" she questions him. "One, you just had his baby, his third child! Plus he loves you more than anything! Well, you and the kids," Severide says getting a laugh out of her, "Whatever was in his past is there! The only one in his present and future is you! So don't let your hormones and your head get the best of you!", Shaylynn gives him a look, "I remember all too well how your mind works! You let your head start playing tricks on you and then that voice in your head starts up. You are your own worst enemy." Severide sits there and stares at her for a few seconds before shaking his head and standing up, "I better go," he tells her as he walks over to the door. "Kelly, you're more than welcome to stick around for the kids," Shaylynn says. "Thanks, I'll stop by tomorrow and get them if that's alright?" Severide asks. Shaylynn smiles, "Sure," she tells him. Severide smiles at her and walks away.
After walking downstairs and through the house, Severide walks outside to the backyard and sees Halstead cleaning up. Severide walks over to Halstead and taps him on the shoulder, Halstead turning around looking at him, "What are you doing to Shaylynn?" Severide asks him. "Kelly, what are you talking about?" Halstead asks him. "You need to stop keeping things from her! You keep her in the dark so much she thinks you're cheating on her!" Severide tells him. "How do you know this?" Halstead asks him. "I just got done talking to her," Severide says, "You need to stop worrying about this stuff, get inside and talk to your wife!" "Why do you care what happens between me and Shaylynn?" Halstead asks. Severide starts to really get mad, "My kids are dealing with a broken home. Do you want your kids to be in the same situation? You have no clue what it's like to walk in the door after shift and not see your kids! You come home and can see your kids, you also see mine! Now get in there and talk to her!" Halstead walks around Severide heading toward the house, "Tell Shaylynn I'll be here around ten tomorrow," Severide tells him. Halstead nods and walks inside.
Halstead walks into the living room to see that Titus is still on Will's lap fascinated by Disney Junior. Trinity is still sleeping on Natalie and Sia has her head on Sam's lap trying to watch Disney Junior but looks like sleep is going to win instead. Halstead walks over to the stairs and hears JJ bawling. He quickly runs up the stairs to JJ's nursery to find him lying on the footstool and Shaylynn laying on the floor unconscious. "WILL! NATALIE!" Halstead yells.
