I'm not even going to go too deep into this one.
I dislike coming across a story and the author says, "if I get x amount of votes, x amount of comments, x amount of likes or new follows I'll update/post the next chapter."
RUDE!
Holding a story hostage to get what you want. People vote/comment/like/share/follow because they want to, because they enjoy your stuff. You shouldn't have to twist their arm to get them to do so.
