This is brief.
I know none of us in here are big name celebrity authors (well...maybe some of you.) But it doesn't hurt to respond to your readers.
A thank you, a response back, a mention - anything. I've seen authors that never interact with their readers AT ALL. The only thing you ever see or hear of them is when they post. Like it doesn't take but a few seconds to answer a few comments or emails. I don't respond to all but I respond to enough that I think my readers know I read and think about what they say. Heck, even dropping some acknowledgement in an author's note at the end is sufficient. Some people just never say anything at all.
Kinda rude.
