26. Nightmares

Kylie's P.O.V

I am sitting in my seat in Mr.Petersons class. I am really trying to listen to him but the group of kids next to me won't shut up. 'Just tell them to shut up' my mind keeps telling me. I can't do that though because that would involve getting noticed and well.....interacting with other human beings which I apparently don't do well. I mean I have no friends at all. Nobody in this school even knows my name. All the teachers call names like 'Kendal' or 'Mylie' but I never correct them.

I am the definition of invisible. I keep my head down, I never talk, never participate, I don't have one single friend in this school, and on top of all that I am not pretty at all. I am the freak who has panic attacks and passes out and goes to her daily therapy sessions with the school councilor. I am too skinny, I have braces, big glasses, and wavy blonde hair. This isn't like the movies where the shy pretty girl gets the hot popular guy. If that was the case maybe Calum would talk to me. Unfortunately him and the populars wouldn't even breath in my direction. What can I say? 7th grade is ruff.

"Excuse me class. I will be right back. I just have to make a few copies of these papers." Mr.Peterson boomed through the class and left out the door.

Just then one of the girls from the group of kids beside me squealed. I lifted my head ever so slightly and saw that Calum had joined the group, of course. I tried to listen in to what they were saying.

"Let's play dares." One boy suggested. Everyone agreed and they continued.

"Ok......" The boy paused. "Calum, I dare you to.........." He paused again. Oh, this will be good. "Kiss her, on the mouth." He finished. I completely froze. God, I could practically feel there stares burning into the back of my head. I hung my head low and made sure my hair was covering my face.

There was a long pause but I could still hear their whispers. "Isn't she that freak that passes out sometimes." Someone said.

"Yeah, I hear she is like allergic to people. She has like no friends. No one even knows her name." Someone else said.

"I heard that she is so obsessed with you Calum. She like worships you. Trust me she is some sort of freak." I know that voice, Destiny. These words really do hurt but they won't care. Calum probably won't do it anyway.

There was more whispers but I chose to ignore them. Suddenly a hand tapped my shoulder. I slowly looked up. Only to see Calum standing above me. Shit.

"Hi... uh-would you mind doing something for me." He spoke hesitantly.

Wow, was he gorgeous. His voice is like angles and I could just get lost in his big brown eyes and his hair is always perfect and his perfect white smile just brightens up a room and his laugh is contagious, it would make anyone smile.

"Hello?" He waved his hand in front of my face snapping me out of my trance. I looked down immediately and blushed for having stared at him for so long.

Calum grunted in annoyance and continued. "Look I am going to kiss you so........yea." I just stared at him, mouth parted and wide eyed. Calum Hood is going to kiss me?!?

Before I could get lost in another one of my deep thoughts his lips crashed onto mine. For a few seconds he held it and I had no idea what to do but after a second I got the idea and moved my lips with his just before he pulled away and walked back to his little group. I stared at him in awe as he walked away. Of corse I regretted it.

"Awe look I think she's in love." Destiny spoke and gave me a dirty look. I could feel my cheeks burning and I could just imagine how red I look.

"How was it Cal?" One boy with curly blonde hair asked.

"I don't know mate, tasted like metal." He snickered and I couldn't help but feel like my heart was ripped out. I don't know what I was expecting. Of course he wouldn't of enjoyed it as much as me.

The corner of my eyes began to tear up. "Awe, she's gonna cry." Destiny mocked in a baby tone and giggled.

"Was that your first kiss brace-face?" Calum asked loudly and the whole class was now looking. I slowly nodded.

Why did you nod. You are so stupid.

"Oh my gosh, Cal, you gave her her first kiss. Now she will make you guys t-shirts." Destiny practically yelled. Now the whole class was laughing, including Calum.

I slammed my head down on the desk and cried my eyes out. The heart ache I am feeling unbelievably painful. It feels like Calum pulled out my heart and stomped on it.

I tried so hard to drown out their laughing but it wouldn't stop. It filled my eardrums and my mind. All I can hear is their repetitive laughter. Over and over and over.........................................................................

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" I screamed as I

abruptly woke up from my nightmare.

My scream was now replaced by heavy breaths. I feel like I just ran a marathon. This is just a minor panic attack. Nothing big, I just need to do my breathing exercise.

1....breathe in.

2....breathe out.

3....breathe in.

4....breathe out.

5....breathe in.

6....breathe out.

7....breathe in.

8....breathe out.

9....breathe in.

10....breathe out.

Much better. Sorta.

I am still really flipping out. Why did I just have that nightmare?

Jk guys I am just a drama queen. Lol. I know for some this is my first authors note in a long time. I am really sorry about that guys. Or not. Who knows maybe some of you guys hate authors notes with a passion. Either way I'm sorry. I will be adding authors note here and there between chapters probably. I love you guys(for the fact you are even reading my story). Well I am sure you can see there is gonna be plenty of drama ahead so brace yourself.
