Before, I could make any phone calls mommy called me. She, had so much excitement in her Voice "Hey baby, I called a few of your dad's sisters they're going to handle some thing's on their end and told me to tell you not to worry. And, they love all y'all. Oh and also your granny said she's still up and kicking, she's happy that you guys are coming to see her soon." She, chuckled at that comment. I was relieved that I didn't have to call anyone, I wasn't surprised that my tia's were on board with everything, they would tell my uncle's and then things would get handled. I guess, I was going to go back up to Louisiana this weekend and tell my daddy that everything was running smoothly. After, I hung up with mommy I got another phone call, I didn't recognize the number so I hesitated to answer  "Hello?" "Hey Shanti, it's daddy. This is my burner number. Look, my brother sent me a message. I'll be getting out of this motherfucker in two weeks. Keep this information between you and I. Don't tell anyone not even  mommy, we have things to handle. I love you and I'll see you soon. Peace." I was, in the state of shock everything was happening so fast. I felt light, I knew that once my father was home, I'd have answers to all my questions. I changed phones and texted Kennon, I just wanted to see him, maybe kiss him. I missed my baby but, I knew that if I called him I'd want to get him, and things were still so dangerous. I looked at the last selfie we took together, we were being silly at Chuck. E. Cheeses. I scrolled to the next picture and it was a picture of Marquez and I I deleted that as soon  as I saw it. I went through my old phone and deleted all the pictures of Marquez out of my phone. I, didn't  want to look at him anymore. I wanted to rid him of my life, I was almost happy now, still irritated with this entire situation. I needed sleep. Kennon, texted me back "Kennon can you just hold me? I don't want sex, I just want to feel you next to me." of course he said yes, I told him I'd meet him at Rico's house. I needed to talk to Latrice anyway, let her know that her best friend was good. I needed a drink too, and a blunt. I just wanted to sleep. I got in the car and drove towards Rico's, I was hungry but I knew that they had food over there. When,  I got to the house I saw Kennon's car, he was inside of the car. I pulled up to the driver window, "Hey sexy, you gotta girlfriend?" He looked and smiled, we laughed and I parked behind Latrice's car. I got out of the car and got in Kennon's car. We, just looked at each other "I really missed you Kenn. I thought you were dead, and I felt some type of way because we had, that argument. I never apologized, I just left you without hearing you out, and I'm sorry."  Kennon, looked at me and kissed my hand "Look, you ain't the only one that was wrong. I said foul shit too but if I didn't you would have been dead not​ thinking. I couldn't lose you not like that. So,  I made you leave me but, I knew that you ain't  really love that nigga. You always gone be mines." I laughed at his country ass, and kissed him. His, kisses were different from Marquez's kisses, he had so much passion, I felt like that 14 year old girl again, I was getting warm, and comfortable. I didn't want to stop kissing him. When, I pulled away I said "Look, Kenn, um we can't have sex.... He, was the last person I slept with, I would feel bad." "Girl it's called a shower. I wanna feel you mane, don't tease me Shanti."
