I sat in the car, in the parking lot  for a minute.  I was lost in thought,  that's when the tears came. Who, was I really with? Was,  Marquez trying to kill my brother too? Is that why he was really with me? Kennon and Rico used to be close, and do dirt with each other. I miss those days, I miss being​ a girlfriend of a kingpin even if he did me wrong. Was, this grief? Or was it because I'm pregnant and hormonal? I got a text from Marquez,  I got out of the car and walked towards the entrance. I saw Marquez,  leaning on a black Cadillac escalade, I stopped to look and be nosey. When, he noticed me he dapped whoever up and they rolled off. I tried not to make eye contact with the car, I didn't look back. I just walked towards Marquez and forced a smile on my face "Hey babe." I felt differently about him now. I loved him but, it was starting to fade. "Ashanti, what's wrong?  You've been drifting in and out since we sat down" I blinked back into reality "Oh it's mommy brain, you know?" I had to come up with a better line. We waited for the food to come, I really didn't talk to Marquez, I was scared of what would fly out of my mouth. "Man, what's bothering you?  Like foreal, talk to me baby" I felt it coming,  I felt the tears forming in the corner of my eyes. "Um, it's nothing I just want to enjoy this pregnancy. I don't want it to be like Tae's pregnancy." I wanted to scream but, I held it together. I always hold it together. My phone dinged, I was grateful for the distraction, it was from Keyona. "Hey sis, sorry. But, I have more info. you might not be to happy about it tho. Hit me up when, you get some free time." What the hell now?! I don't think I could handle to much more shit I sent her a quick text, I could tell Marquez was becoming irritated. "Alright we can meet tomorrow morning,  shit maybe tonight. I'll let you know" I looked at Marquez crazy, I wanted to start some shit to get away but, he sensed my attitude. "Yo, after this morning you shouldn't have no attitude, I don't know what the hell it is but spit it out or get rid of it." I lost it,  I fuckin lost it! "Nah,  bruh maybe I'll just leave you and get rid of this baby. Because lately, you've been acting weird and That's not cute, nor will it be tolerated. I'll do you just like I did Kennon, disappear on yo punk ass". I got up and grabbed my phone and my purse. I calmly, walked out of the restaurant and ran to my car, I tried to start it as quick as I could. I saw him come out of the exit, looking for me. I speed off, I wanted to run him over but in thought against it. I had to get a hold of my brother, I had to worn him.

Damnmit he's not picking up his phone so I'm just gonna have to show up over there and Latrice is just going to have to be upset with me but I have to let my twin know what's going on, Shit I don't even know if I wanna be with Marquez anymore after everything that I have found out today I finally pulled up at Rico and Trice's house I got out and frantically knocked on the door praying and hoping that someone would answer. I paced back and forth waiting for someone to answer I started biting my nails as I became more impatient the more I had to wait the more upset I became, I began to bang on the door then I finally heard movement 15 minutes later Rico came to the with his 45 pointed at me. "Nigga if you don't put that shit down we need to talk." Rico put his 45 down and looked at me with so much confusion that I knew that he wanted to know what was going on. "Shanti what the hell is going on?" "Can I come in we have to talk it's important." Rico moved to the side and let me in then I heard Latrice say. "Baby who is it? Is everything okay?" "Everything is fine just go back to bed." I sat down in the kitchen and waited for Rico I had to let him know what was going on and I had to let him know that Marquez couldn't be trusted my heart broke as I thought words I felt tears slip from my eyes I quickly wiped them away as Rico entered the kitchen then I thought to myself here goes nothing. I sighed and looked at my twin with a concerned face. "Okay look I know something that you should know." "Okay what's up? Talk to me." I took a deep breath. "Remember that deal that you and Kennon did back in the day?" Rico looked at me confused. "Yeah what about it Shanti why are you asking me about this?" I sighed. "It was a setup someone set you and Kennon up and I know who that someone is." Rico looked pissed off and I didn't know if I wanted to tell him. "Who is it?" "It was Marquez and his boss twin Marquez can't be trusted I had to come warn you." Rico got up and went back to his room he returned moments later dressed and Trice was behind him. "You are not to go back to that house you stay here with Trice and I'll call ma and have her bring Tae here." "But..." Before I could say anything he was out the door and in his car what have I done?
