My life was now complete as far as I was concerned, Nothing could ruin this moment for me although I kinda wished that papi was here with us. I know that he needed time to explore the world and be a free man, He would eventually come back home then we would be one big happy family; But there was something in the pit of my stomach telling me that something was wrong. But I just shook it off and continued to enjoy my family, My mommy and mama Andrea started preparing dinner for everyone so I knew that it was about to be amazing. Also I knew that I was about to grub on some delicious food, So nobody better get in my way, I was brought out of my thoughts about food when I heard Tae laughing and talking to Kennon. "Daddy, that's not how you're supposed to do it." I looked over at them and I  noticed that they were playing the game, I smiled then walked back in the kitchen; Keyona looked at me and said. "I heard what happened to your baby, I'm so sorry. But you're glowing sis." I smiled at her then I grabbed her hand. "There's no need to be sorry, It had to be done and am I? Girl I didn't even notice." Keyona laughed at me then she shook her head, I wasn't going to tell her or anyone about me being pregnant at least not yet; So I kept my mouth shut while we watched mommy and mama Andrea cook. A few hours passed mommy said that dinner would be done soon, We just have to wait for my brothers to get here; I hope that they hurry cause a bitch is really hungry. I walked down the hall to use the bathroom, But someone was in there so I knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.

A few minutes later, I heard Latrice, it sounded like she was crying; I knocked again hoping that she would answer. "Latrice it's me, Are you okay?" I heard the door unlock so I slowly opened it and stepped inside, I shut the door behind me that's when I saw Latrice sitting on the floor in tears; I sat Beside her and held her. "What's wrong girl, Why are you in here crying?" Latrice looked at me then she shook her head, I wanted her to tell me what was wrong; Because I have never seen her cry. I started to wonder if my brother did something to her, Latrice looked at me and I guess she knew what I was thinking; So she reached beside her then handed me a piece of paper. Before I opened the piece of paper Latrice looked at at me and said. "I went to the doctor, So Rico doesn't know about what you're about to read." To be honest I was kinda scared to read the paper, But​ I did the paper was from the hospital and it said that Latrice was unable to have children; My heart broke when I saw that cause I knew how bad that Latrice wanted to be a mom, Now the big question is how is she going to tell my twin brother?

Latrice and I came out of the bathroom, I walked to the kitchen and I saw that my brothers had finally made it. I am  glad that they are here, Because now we can all eat but first I had to see if Latrice needed me; I knew that it would be hard for her to tell Rico about her situation so I will be right there for her if she needs me. Rico and Jimmie were talking about this car that they had seen, While they were playing basketball; That's when I saw Latrice hiding so I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder. "If you need me, I'm right here; Everything will be okay I promise you." Latrice shook her head then she got up and walked over to Rico, I knew that he could tell that something was wrong because his smile quickly disappeared; Latrice whispered in his ear then they both stepped outside. Mommy walked over to me and asked me if everything was okay, I told her about what Latrice showed me; So mommy said a few prayers in Spanish then she headed back towards the kitchen, After a few minutes Latrice and Rico came back inside; I could tell that my brother had been crying but I also knew that he was being strong for Latrice and that's the way a man should always be through any situation.

An hour before everyone sat down to eat papi showed up, He looked as if he had a lot on his mind; So when Tae ran to his grandpa and hugged him all of papi's worry disappeared from his face. Tae and papi sat down on the couch, They were having a conversation so I decided to let them talk; I walked in the kitchen to help mommy and mama Andrea fix everyone's plates. After we finished fixing everyone's plates all of gathered in the dining room to eat as a family, Papi said grace then we all dug in; I have to admit it's​ nice having dinner as a family. I missed times like this so I was really glad to be having them again, We were all laughing and talking when Latrice's phone rung; She got up then went outside. Rico looked at me and I shook my head, I didn't know what was going on; All I knew is that it wasn't my place to ask questions. I continued to eat as Latrice came back back inside, She sat down and Rico leaned over then asked her, What was wrong but she didn't answer; Mommy started a conversation to ease all of the tension in the room and I was glad that she did.

Mommy started telling stories about when we were little, She told us all how Rico ran down the street completely naked at the age of three; This made Latrice laugh but it embarrassed Rico so much that he looked at mommy and said. "Seriously, Mommy why?" She smiled at Rico while taking a bite of her food then she said. "Awwwww, Ricardo you'll be fine mijo." Latrice smiled at Rico, And I must say that I'm happy to see her smiling; Because I truly don't like seeing her sad or hurt. Papi started telling a story about the day him and mommy met, I thought it was sweet they were high school sweethearts; Papi said that mommy turned him down the first couple of times, Mommy said that papi stalked her so she gave in; We all laughed because papi knew that it was true.

This was some much needed family time that was long overdue, Kennon leaned over towards me and said. "I think it's time to tell everyone, That we're engaged and that your pregnant." He was right, I think that it was time for everyone to know; So I took a deep breath and cleared my throat that's when everybody stopped and looked at me. "Um, I have an announcement to make." Everybody looked at me, And I felt like I was in high school all over again; My heart started beating really fast and I felt faint. Mama Andrea looked at me then at Kennon, Keyona put her fork down then looked at us. "What is it sis? Tell us." I looked over at Kennon and he gave me the go ahead look, Why didn't he just do it why did I have to? Finally I took one last deep breath then said. "Kennon and I are engaged, But that's not it there's more; We're going to have a baby." There was an awkward silence then screams​ erupted throughout the dining room, Mama Andrea, Mommy, Keyona, and Latrice all ran over to hug me; Even Tae seemed excited about the situation. I just couldn't tell if Papi, Quan, Rico, Jimmie, and Shawn were excited; I'm hoping that they are excited though because I would love all of my family's support. Papi got up then gestured for my brothers and Kennon to follow him outside, I instantly became worried because I didn't know what the hell was going on; I got up from my seat then headed towards the door but papi stopped me. "This doesn't concern you princess, Kennon will be fine don't worry." Mommy grabbed my hand then she led me back to the table, I really didn't want to sit here while Kennon is outside with my brothers and papi; I wanted to know what the hell was going on. I knew that I shouldn't have said anything about us being engaged or about me being pregnant, Because I figured that something like this would happen mommy sat down by me and said. "Mija everything will be okay, You know how papi is." I knew that mommy was only trying to make things better, So I just smiled and told her okay; I know that papi wouldn't hurt Kennon after the talk that they had when papi came home; All I wanted to know is what was this all about, Why were they all standing outside?
