Malcolm Perez is finally home it was good to see papi home and free from concrete walls, But in the back of my mind I was wondering if I was still a dead woman. I decided not to
think about it cause now was a time to celebrate not worry about this death cloud looming over my head so while everyone was catching up with papi I went to the kitchen to help mommy with dinner, I knew that mommy would ask questions but I wanted to avoid the subject the best I could so I washed my hands and I stood by mommy then I said. "Do you need some help with dinner mommy?" Mommy smiled and she continued to cut up some green chillies for the green chilli chicken enchiladas. "Sure mija I'd love your help." I begin cutting and cooking the chicken for mommy, I heard all the guys laughing and carrying on I was glad that they were all having a good time. I continued cutting up chicken when I saw Latrice appear in the kitchen, I was wondering where she had been but I didn't question her Latrice looked at mommy and I then said. "Could you ladies use another hand in here?" Mommy looked at me then she looked at Latrice. "Sure princessa if you're going to be with my baby boy you need to know how to cook like mommy." Latrice and I laughed at mommy's response but I knew that she was serious because mommy always said. "It's not just what you do in the bedroom that keeps a man coming back, But it's also what you do in the kitchen." Latrice washed her hands then she stood on the other side of mommy and mommy showed her how to prepare the spanish rice, Latrice was paying very close attention to what mommy was saying and doing cause she wanted to make sure that she got everything right, I could tell that Latrice didn't want to disappoint mommy and I knew how important it was to Latrice that she make a good impression. After I finished cooking the chicken I grabbed 6 glasses and a bottle of Jack Daniels then I grabbed the bottle of Tequila, I sat everything on a tray then I filled the glasses with ice and Jack Daniels. I carried the tray in the living room and I heard the guys talking then I heard papi ask. "So Kennon will I be seeing more of you around here?" I stood by the wall and listened to the conversation, Because now I was curious to know his answer so I stood quietly and just listened then I heard Kennon say. "Of course you will everyone here is like family to me."

I heard papi clear his throat and I saw Quan sit up what were they about to do? Papi leaned up then I heard him say. "That's nice to know, Now what about my daughter?" I swallowed hard because I didn't know what the hell Kennon would say, Rico cleared his throat and spoke up. "Awwwww come on papi cut him a break his been through a lot." I sighed because I thought Rico had saved Kennon but boy.  was I wrong, I moved forward a little bit to see what was going on. I saw papi turn in his seat and look at Rico, Papi looked Rico straight in the face and said. "Did I ask for commentary from the peanut gallery? Trust me I know what he's been through I know everything now hush." Rico sighed and sat back quietly, Then papi turned back to Kennon and said. "Now like I was saying that's good to know, But what about my daughter?" Kennon sat there for a few minutes and I was praying that he would say something then I heard him say. "Look Mr. Perez I love Ashanti with all my heart and I would never hurt her, I want to spend the rest of my life with her." I nearly broke down in tears after I heard what Kennon said, Cause I knew that he meant every word and I hoped that papi knew that Kennon was serious, Papi sat back and looked at Kennon. "Well as long as you keep my daughter and grandson happy then I wish you all nothing but the best."

I was amazed at what papi said, Because honestly I thought that he would hate Kennon but I guess things have changed and to tell you the truth I was happy that everyone was on good terms with each other. I walked in the living room with the drinks and I sat them down on the coffee table. "Here you go gentlemen, Dinner will be ready soon." Papi sat up and grabbed a glass then took a sip, "Thank you princessa." Everyone else grabbed a glass and thanked me. Before I walked out of the living room I turned around and said. "You're welcome." I headed back towards the kitchen while the guys continued to talk​, I turned the stove off so that the chicken wouldn't overcook then I started preparing the beans Latrice finished preparing the spanish rice and she looked very pleased. Mommy complimented her on what a wonderful job she had done, I knew that it made Latrice happy to get a compliment from mommy. While the beans were cooking, I got the pans down to put the enchiladas in I started preparing the enchiladas once I was done with that I put the pans in the oven like mommy taught me. I let the enchiladas cook while I walked over to the refrigerator and took out the sour cream, I sat the sour cream down on the counter and checked on the food once I saw that the enchiladas were ready I removed them from the oven and topped them with sour cream, I set them off to the side so they could cool now everything was ready and it's time for everyone to eat.

Mommy, Latrice, and I started preparing everyone's plates, After we fixed the guys plates and there drinks we walked towards the living room. All the guys were still laughing and talking about sports so I sat Kennon and Quan's plates and drinks in front of them. Kennon stopped talking then looked at me and said. "Thanks baby." I smiled at him then kissed his cheek and said. "You're welcome love." Kennon began to eat I started to walk away when Quan reached for my hand and said. "Thanks sis." I looked at him and smiled then said. "No problem bro." Mommy came out with papi, Jimmie, and Shawn's plates she sat their plates and drinks down in front of them, Papi looked at mommy and said. "Thank you mi amor." Mommy winked​ at daddy which was mommy's way of telling papi you're welcome, Before Jimmie and Shawn began to eat they both looked at mommy and said at the same time. "Thank you mommy."  Mommy kissed them on their foreheads and said. "You're welcome mijos." Latrice walked out of the kitchen with Rico's plate and drink then she sat down in front of him, Rico looked up at her and winked then he said. "Thanks baby girl." Latrice blushed and told him you're welcome then she walked back in the kitchen to fix herself a plate.

I went in the kitchen to fix my plate because to tell you the truth I have been waiting for this meal, Mommy came in the kitchen to fix herself a plate then she sat down at the table. Latrice and I joined mommy at the table before we ate mommy said grace once she finished we dug in, I took a bite and I instantly had a major food gasam this food was so damn good that I was dancing in my seat mommy laughed at me then said. "Is it good mija?" I had completely forgotten that Latrice and mommy were at the table with me, I had closed my eyes because I was completely lost in the food I opened my eyes and said. "Huh, oh I'm sorry mommy but yes it is so good." Latrice agreed as she continued to eat, Mommy smiled and took a bite of her food then she said. "Well I'm glad that you like niñas." We heard the guys watching basketball and eating, Everyone seemed happy and content and that was a good thing I was eating then I heard someone knock on the door so I got up and walked to the front door. I looked out the window and saw a man that I didn't recognize I had half a mind to open the door but I slowly opened the door, Once I fully opened the door the man looked at me and said. "I'm sorry to disturb you but is Malcolm home?" I looked at this man very strangely because it was something about him that creeped me out but I shook it off and asked. "May I ask who's looking for him?" The man looked at me and removed the hat that he was wearing, Then he smiled and said​. "Where are my manners? My apologies darling allow me to introduce myself, I'm Sampson Beaudroux." I instantly froze this can't be happening not now, I stood there for a minute not saying a word all I could think was is it my time to die? I was so scared that I started shaking I didn't know what to do or say, All I think was is this the end for me. "Sweetheart are you okay?" Sampson asked I couldn't move so I just walked away from the door then papi noticed my facial expression and he got up then walked over to the door, Once papi made it to the door he realized why I was acting the way I was, Sampson smiled at papi then he moved back and he gestures for papi to come outside.
