I drive to my mom's house to check on her and let Tae spend some time with her. I missed her so much that I had to go see her, Tae was playing with his new toys that his sperm donor bought him and he was having fun by himself in the backseat. "Are you ready to see grandma today?" I asked Tae. "Yes ma'am" he answers happy and excited. We stop at a red light, I text mommy that we are coming over to visit her, the light turns green and I continue to drive to mommy's house then my phone played a gospel song as her ringtone. "Okay honey, I'll be waiting for you." I read the text message as I stopped at a red light, I didn't reply back to her. I pulled in mommy's driveway and parked behind her Yukon, I opened my door and took my keys out the car, Tae unbuckled his own seat belt then opened the door, he ran to the front door while I closed the doors and lock the car. Tae rung the doorbell as I ran up the stairs and I watched mommy open the door, smiling at us; I loved my mommy so much that I would kill somebody for her, she hugged Tae and kissed his cheek. "Hey Bubba, Hey baby how are you?" she hugged and kissed me too. "We're good, we wanted to pay you a visit mommy. Have you heard from Papi or visited him Madre?" I asked her, sometimes my Spanish comes out when I talk but my mom, she does it too. "No mija, I haven't heard from him or visited him in a while. I don't know why they won't let me come and see him." she had a worried look on her face. "That's crazy Madre, they have to let you see him so that we know how he's doing." I sit on the couch next to mommy and Tae sits on the other side of mommy. "I went to see him a few months ago but then all of a sudden, my name is off the visitation list, so I don't know if he told someone to take me off or what but it sucks that I can't see him" mommy puts her hands in me and Tae's hand. I was worried with her, Papi wouldn't take her name off the visitation list so what the hell is going on. Tae was watching cartoons while mommy and I were going in the kitchen to make something to eat. "That'stddz crazy mommy, who would do such a thing. I know Papi wouldn't do that but I will get to the bottom of it mommy trust me." I said a little angry. A few minutes later, I heard the doorbells ring, I walked to the front door. Tae was already at the door before me, he opened the door and yelled "Uncle Rico!!!!" he hug Rico and Rico hug him back. "What up little dude" he laughed as they shared a handshake that they made, I smiled at them as watched them do their handshake; I love that Rico influences Tae because he takes him out today on outings and they talk about guy things. "So little dude, where do you want to go today?" Rico ask Tae all excited. "What about the basketball game" Tae suggested and Rico agreed. "What up sis, how you doing?" he hugs me. "I'm alright bro, how was your day?" I responded. "I been good, been driving those damn delivery trucks, nothing big but I spot a few honeys around the way but none of them are my type. Hey mama, how are you?" Rico hugged mommy. "Hey baby, I'm good, I'm just a little worried about your father and someone took me off the visitation list" mommy answers as she hold him tight, Rico consoled her then I join in. Mommy was a little sad because she couldn't see Papi anymore, we just have to find out what happened with mommy's name being off the list.

Tae and Rico went to the basketball game while mommy and I had a mommy and daughter day, she needs me here with her, I make mommy some Spanish rice, tamales and some raisin bread. "We will get to the bottom of this mommy, don't worry" I hold her. "Thank you mija, I'm so happy that you came over to see me because I was feeling miserable without your papi here. When I see you, Rico, Quan, and Jimmie, I smile because I love seeing you all when I'm feeling sad and miserable" Mommy smiled at me as she puts her hand on my chin. she has to look up at me, I'm 5'8 and my mom is 5'6" 1\2 so she helps me with the food, we danced in the kitchen when mommy put on some Spanish music. She was happy and smiling while she was dancing with me, my mommy have bigger boobs than me but I have a bigger butt than her, she showed me a dance routine that she use to do back in Puerto Rico. I followed her routine which was fun. "Mommy, how did you know how to dance like that?" I asked her while I hug her. "I use to be a dancer too mija, but not a stripper like you do at that club. Why do like working at a strip club mija?" she asked me as we took the food out and wait for everyone to come over. "Because mommy I get to meet different people that can help me get the hell out of the strip club when I'm ready mommy. It's a easy way to get money, provide for Tae and I, it also can help me get Tae's college fund so he wouldn't have to pay for school mommy. I saved $2,500 for his college fund right now, I had to find a way to put food on the table, roof over our head, shoes on our feet and transportation to travel." I answered her question with honesty. "Mija, I'm not saying that you should stop because I support whatever you do but what will you do when you get older like me?" mommy takes the raisin bread out the oven. "I'm only doing it for a few years then I'll work somewhere else, or maybe work at Chocolate's restaurant mommy. He is the owner of a famous restaurant, if he let's me work at his restaurant, I'll give up stripping but right now, it boost my confidence to be in front of people" I replied to mommy. She didn't say nothing to me for a minute but she had a smile on her face. "What mommy?" I look at her. "Do you really love this Chocolate guy for his money or do you like him for his personality?" she says interrogating me. "I'm starting to like him more than his money now, he treated me better than anyone that I've dated with champagne, candles, strawberries, oh my goodness it was beautiful. You should meet him and get to know him mommy." I suggested. "I don't know mija, I don't need to be in your relationships and tell who to date, who not to date also your grown mija just like your brothers too. Just know this, love him for the right reasons" she reminded me. Later that day, Rico came home with Tae and they came back with Atlanta Hawks thunder sticks, Hawks jersey and a autograph from one of the players. "Did y'all have fun at the games tonight?" I hug Rico and hug Tae. "Yes mommy, Uncle Rico got me a autograph book with the player's signatures" Tae smiled. "Plus Tae got to be on the big screen" Rico added and they did. their handshake. Jimmie, and Quan came over to grub with mommy. We warmed mommy's heart and we cheered her up as we came together as a family. This shouldn't be the only time that we cheered up mommy, we should come over here everyday. Tae and I will come over here and check on her since papi isn't here.
