Time skip two weeks
JALYN'S POV

After touring with the boys for a month and a half Kaitlyn, Hannah, and I had to get back to school. They were still touring around having a ball while we did math and wrote paper after paper. I sleep in his bed most nights. He's not there but it smells like he is. Our senior prom was coming up soon and It's supposed to be a huge deal. Which it is but I'm not into dances really. He's taking off that tour date and coming with me. It's our senior prom and all of the boys promised to be there.

After a long day of school I was driving home. Gerard was on speaker phone in the car as I drove.
"How was school?" He asked.
"You sound like a parent... school was lonely and boring" I said pouting.
"You've got Hannah and Kaitlyn dummy. Frank is going crazy without Hannah" he said changing the subject.
"Yea well Hannah's doing the same. She stole the sweatshirt he left at your house and she sleeps with it like a blanket" I said relating.
"My god. Does he know?"
"I don't know, you're with him" I replied.
"Holy shit!" I said looking through the windshield.
"Are you okay?!? What happened??" He said.
"A dog. A freaking dog on the side of the damn road. It's got to be some crazy breed. It's huge" I said pulling over.
"Maybe it's rabid Jalyn don't get it" he said pleadingly. I got out of the car and went took my phone with me. He's shivering like crazy.
"Hey! Come here buddy. Where's your momma? Do you have a mom?" I said holding my hand out.
"You know he can't understand you right?" Gerard said like I was crazy. I laughed and ignored him. He's a dark gray dog with small black spots covering his body. He's covered and dirt and water with no form of identification on him. He started to walk towards me. He let his ears droop and put his head under my hand as if to tell me 'please take me home' I opened the car door and called for him.
"C'mon trust me. Just hop in we'll go for a ride" I said. He hesitated for a moment and jumped in.

When I got home I got out of the car and he followed me through the front door and into the bathroom. I filled the tub with water and put towels on the floor. When the tub was half full I turned off the water.
"Come on hop in. It's okay" I said putting my hand in the water. He stood next to the door and looked at it. He climbed over the side and splashed into the water. Not gracefully I might add. Water was all over the towels I'd laid out. I poured water over him and scrubbed him clean.
"What are we gonna call you huh? You're huge! How about a big name like Hercules? Or Simba... they don't sound right though. You don't act big" I scrubbed as I thought. I called Gee for help.

"Hey... do I have a dog?" He asked.
"Well we don't have to keep him if you don't want. I can take him to a shelter first thing tomorrow. It's your house not mine" I said laying out all of the options.
"NO! I want a dog!" I heard Mikey scream in the background.
"God no keep him. We need something new anyways" he said. I lit up!
"Yes yes yes! Now I won't be so lonely" I said dramatically.
"Am I being replaced by a dog?" He asked concerned.
"Absolutely!" I said jokingly.
"Holy crap. Is that a mouse!" Frankie screamed in the back.
"THATS IT!" A lightbulb went off in my head.
"What?" He said in confusion.
"His name is mouse. It's done. I love it" I said.
"Awe I love it. But I have to go we're about to tune up and play. I'll call you later. I love you"
"I love you too!" I hung up and started to dry off the dog.

"Mouse!" I said looking at his clean face.
"Mouse. Thats you. You're Mouse." I said sternly. I put chicken in a bowl and sat it down on the floor. He inhaled it so fast.
"That should be okay until tomorrow when I can get you real dog food I'll skip first period and make sure you have everything you need before I leave you alone" I said basically talking to myself. I went upstairs and he followed right behind me. I changed into pajamas and laid down in Gee's bed. He got into bed with me. He curled up under my arm and I put the covers over him. He has a thin coat of fur. Like he'd been shaved. We fell asleep for a few hours until he was whining at the back door and pawing at it.
"Do you seriously have to pee right now?" I said whining. I opened the back door and he ran out. He went to the bathroom then walked right back inside and into the bedroom. We went to sleep, and I didn't feel so damn lonely. It was nice.
