GERARD'S POV

It's Thursday now, five days after Jake's passing. We walked into school. Jalyn's been especially quiet these past five days. Everyone has been talking about and although no one is okay or happy about it, we're comfortable, we're coming to understand what's happened. Jalyn hasn't said a word about it. She hasn't slept in my room. She obviously hasn't slept period. We went through the day as normal as possible. I saw Jalyn walk into the bathroom in between classes. I looked around, making sure no one was paying attention and ran in behind her.

I checked to make sure she was the only one in the bathroom.
"What the hell are you doing here" she said as I locked the door behind me. That's the most she's said in a sentence all week. I got close to her.
"Talk to me. I know this is terrible but please talk to me" I begged her. She looked up at me. I couldn't tell if she was gonna cry or smile. She reached up to me and put one hand in my still fading orange-ish-red hair and the other on the side of my head. She rose onto her tip toes and kissed me passionately. I backed her up against the wall and picked her up. I sat her on the counter of sinks still kissing her. She stopped and put her arms up. I slid her shirt off. We carried on until suddenly there was a knock at the door. We both jumped out of our skin and silently giggling at each other. I rested my head on hers.

She hopped off the counter and threw her shirt back on.
"You go. I'll get out of here stealthily" I said as I watched her pick up her backpack.
"I love you" she whispered as she opened the door to face the girl standing outside.
"Hey! I'm sorry, I didn't realize the door had locked behind me" she said walking past her.
"No it's fine" the girl said walking in. I walked into a stall and locked it. I waited for her to leave and snuck out.

Maybe solidarity is Jay's weird way of coping, maybe she'll be okay now. We went about our day as normal. When the day was over we walked out and I drove her home. Mikey stayed in the car and drove to Ray's house. Jalyn dropped her bag by the door and backed me up.
"What are you doing?" I asked smiling at her.
"I think we have something we didn't finish earlier" she said walking me into her room. She closed the door behind her, and you can guess the rest...
