How Does A Heart Beat When Broken?

Yo hadn't left his room in over 3 days, too emotionally drained to move. He barely got out of bed. His room was still a mess, he didn't have the strength to do anything but lay there. If it wasn't for his friends dropping by with food, he wouldn't have eaten at all, too caught up in his misery deal with life. His friends were very supportive. Yo's never forced him to go to class, didn't bombard him with questions about how he was feeling, didn't pressure him to talk at all. They knew he needed time, time to sort through all these emotions swimming around his head. 

Pha didn't come visit Yo once, not that he didn't try but none of his friends would let him near Yo. Even Yo's angel gang, who normally swooned over Pha gave him the cold shoulder. They may have crushed on Pha but Yo was one of their best friends, so they stuck by him through all this. Beam made sure there was always someone with Yo at all times, he didn't want that bastard Pha to get his hands on him. Knowing full well he'd try and convince Yo that this was all a misunderstanding, that he really did love Yo. 

By day three Yo was starting to feel a little better. He was lucky to have such good friends, ones that didn't push him to open up before he was ready. He had heard from his angel gang that the entire campus knew about Pha and his trouble maker, there was also a video floating around of Ming beating the shit out of Pha for his actions. Although he didn't approve of Ming's actions, he was glad to have him as his best friend. 

3 days had passed with Yo still not leaving his room, he didn't want to run into Pha at all, fearing what might happen. Yo was just sitting on his bed, while one of his fairy angel gang members was out getting them lunch when he received a text from Caleb. Caleb was just checking up to see how Yo was doing, he was curious as to how Yo was handling all this. Yo didn't know why but he felt so safe around him, like he could really trust him, which was strange because before a few days ago he didn't even know the guy. They were texting for several minutes before Monty cam back with their lunch. He could see Yo had brightened up a little. 

"Hey Yo, who you talking to?" Monty pried. Yo quickly locked his phone and replied, "Nobody, just an old friend." Monty wasn't buying that excuse, before he made himself known he could swear he saw a small smile light up Yo's tear stained face. Yo then smelled the food and his stomach rumbled, he was indeed hungry. After lunch Monty had to go and leave Yo alone for a couple of hours, he had a group project with the other angel gang that was due tomorrow. He bid his farewell and left, leaving Yo all alone. Yo didn't mind the solace. It felt nice to have some alone time, it gave him time to talk to Caleb without nosy people butting in. 

About 2 hours had passed and Yo was feeling a little better now, he was still in pain but Caleb was able to help Yo through some of this, telling Yo that none of this was his fault. Yo was glad he met Caleb, he was a big help today. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Yo was surprised, his friends wouldn't be here as Beam, Kit, Ming and Forth still had classes and his angel gang were busy with an assignment. He regrettably got up to go answer it, only to see Pha standing right in front of him. 

Yo was about to close to door on him, not wanting to be anywhere near him, but Pha was stronger and forced the door open. He then walked into the room, stating he just wanted to talk, and if after all this he still wanted him gone he would leave. Yo was nervous, he didn't want Pha this close to him but Pha wouldn't budge, even after Yo politely asked him to leave. 

"Look Yo. I know I hurt you and I have no right to come to you but I just wanted to see you, to make sure you're doing ok" Pha spoke. Yo had gone mute, even if he wanted to speak his voice wouldn't let him, so he just stood there in silence. Pha took a step closer to Yo and put on hand on his shoulder, causing Yo to shutter in fear. He wasn't sure what Pha's end game was but he honestly felt frightened by his presence. Pha was never one to back off when it came to what he wanted. It was clear he didn't care about Yo anymore, not with Jackson in the picture, so why was he so adamant about clearing things up?  Why did he want Yo to understand his side of the story, like what he did wasn't that big of a deal, just a simple misunderstanding? He had never physically hurt Yo before and he wasn't about to start now, but Yo no longer felt safe around him. "Yo, please look at me, you have to believe me. I never meant for any of this to happen. I love you, you have to know that."

Tear were falling down his face and Yo felt like he was about to collapse, this was too overwhelming for him. Before Pha could do any more damage he was harshly pulled off of Yo as Forth grabbed him by the neck and threw him against the wall. One of his fellow engineering friends saw Pha walk towards Yo's place and send a text to Forth immediately. Upon seeing the text Forth quickly left class, got on his bike and sped his way to Yo's place. Pha was resting on the floor after Forth had thrown him, he was lucky that was all Forth did, knowing full well what he was capable of. He then snatched Pha up and threw him out the door, threatening that if he ever came near Yo again he would regret it. 

From all the commotion that had recently occurred, Yo couldn't take it anymore and collapsed in a heap next to his bed. Forth seeing this, quickly carried Yo and placed him carefully on his bed, making sure to let Beam and the others know what just happened. Beam didn't understand why Pha was desperate to speak with Yo, he clearly wasn't getting the message to stay away from Yo. Maybe he should let Forth teach him a lesson, but quickly shook that idea out. There are other, safer ways to get the message through to Pha. 

Yo woke up a few minutes later, as if in a dream. Everything felt like one big nightmare, and if it wasn't for Forth sitting on his couch he would of swore that's all it was. Yo didn't know how he was going to continue like this. How could he keep going when the one who broke him to pieces wouldn't leave him alone?
