Over the next few months Pha and Yo's relationship was heading on the right track again. Pha still missed a date here or there but nothing like before and Yo was very understanding. He too was getting busier with his studies as exams were just around the corner and he wanted to get a very good score that his Pha could be proud of.

Even though things between Pha and Yo seemed to on the mend Beam couldn't help but feeling like it was all an act, that maybe Pha was hiding something from Yo and was being all loving and sweet to throw off the scent. Although Pha seemed to be a very caring boyfriend Beam couldn't shake the feeling that his actions towards Yo weren't sincere, like he was just going through the motions to keep up appearances. If only he had some way to prove his theory, he couldn't bare it if after all this time Pha hurts Yo. He honestly wouldn't know what to do if his best friend hurt his little nong.

4 months had gone by since the talk Yo had given Pha and he felt at peace. Pha had stuck to his word and was being there for Yo, in all things. They still haven't slept together but Yo didn't want to push the envelope at this moment. It felt like one wrong move and it would all come crashing down. He figured he had the rest of his life with Pha to do bedroom stuff anyway, as he looked at the ring Pha had given him, it all felt like a dream, like it was too good to be true.

It was early one Saturday morning, Pha was sleeping over like he did most nights these days, when Yo's phone rang. It was his father calling him to come visit him the following day. When Pha had finally woke up Yo explained he had to visit his dad tomorrow and if Pha wouldn't mind dropping him home. Pha didn't even think twice before agreeing to take Yo back home. He had a feeling it had something to do with his mother after all she was still sick and was probably going to need more treatments.

Bright and early the next day both Pha and Yo had hit the road. It was going to be a long drive to Yo's house and Pha wanted to make sure he wouldn't get home too late. He had a quiz for one of his classes tomorrow and he wanted to get in a little more studying done. When they had arrived Pha bid farewell to Yo as he got back into his car to drive back to his dorm. Yo watched as he finally disappeared round a corner then headed towards his house. Yo's father was outside waiting for him and ran towards his son, giving him a massive hug. Despite being a rich family Yo's parents always made sure Yo never felt like a burden. They wanted him to feel the love they shared with him.

The meeting with his dad went well, it was as Pha expected. Yo's mother needed to go away for a couple of weeks for some more treatment, his father was told this should be the last of it and she should be on the road to recovery. He once again asked Yo to accompany his mother while she was away and Yo, being the loving son he is, didn't hesitate to comply. The only problem he had now was to tell Pha. The last time he went away for a few weeks Pha had become distant and he was worried the same thing might happen again, but Pha had reassured him (when Yo told him about his trip) that it wouldn't happen again.

It had been several days now and true to his word Pha had called Yo everyday and replied almost instantly to his texts. As time was ticking away, slowly Pha was earning back the trust that he once so blatantly started to wash away. Yo was so over the moon. He felt that Pha was really trying to show him that he was willing to work for this relationship, it takes two to tango and Pha had finally stepped up to dance. Even though Yo and Pha were communication more this time around, it didn't stop Pha to spend almost every waking minute with Jackson. Most of their time together involved going to dinner, the movies or even a day trip to the beach. They were both having so much fun, but Pha made sure to spend some time with Yo as to not ruin what they had.

Beam found it very odd that Pha and Jackson were spending even more time together than before. He didn't know what to think, but after questioning Pha he got his supposed answer.

"I'm only hanging out with Jackson so much because I miss Yo. You don't need to worry about anything. I'd never do anything to hurt my precious Yo. He's important to me" Pha lied to his best friend. He knew if he didn't quench the thirst Beam had for the truth everything he has worked hard for would come crashing down in a blaze of fire. With Beam hot on his tail Pha knew he had to be extra careful to not let anything slip, which is one of the reasons he never invited Jackson to spend the night at his place, in case his friends suddenly decided to drop by. They rarely visited Jackson's dorm as he preferred to go meet them when they wanted to hang out.

The days flew by and soon Yo would be returning home, back to his dorm, to his studies and most importantly to his Pha. He couldn't wait to run into his boyfriends arms and give him a big hug, he hated being apart, even if it was only for a couple of weeks.  Yo's mother's treatment had finished earlier than expected and she was told that if all goes well in a few months she should be a lot better. Both Yo and his mother were happy to hear that and couldn't wait to tell father. They then went home where Yo told his father the good news and they had a mini celebration that night. Yo figured he could go back to the dorms tomorrow and surprise his boyfriend, since he wasn't expected back for a couple more days. The excitement was killing him.
