Chapter 1: Awakening

  The beginning of this story takes place before the Edolas  Arc

        Your head was pounding. Your vision was blurry and every fiber of your body was in pain. All you could remember was your name. You look around noticing the place you woke up in is a damp cave with the only source of light being a distant opening at the far end.
       
Getting up and moving towards the opening, the light hits your body. You start to notice bright blue lines painting your arms. "What are these?" Looking down you see you're sporting nothing but baggy trousers and bare feet.
       
  Walking outside the cave, you gasp at the view you were presented with. Trees stretching out as far as the eye can see. Snow on top of a  distant mountain shimmers from the sunlight striking it. And a glistening lake filled with crystal blue water.
       
  Oddly enough one thing stood out from the magnificent sight, smoke and roaring coming from trees not so far from your position.
         
  You slide down the cliff side, eager to investigate what the commotion was about. Maybe investigating the anomaly would present you with some answers, or at least human contact.
       
  As you make your approach, you can feel powerful magic resonating from the area. Who or whatever that power was directed towards had to be putting up quite the fight to compete with that.
         
  You came to a scorched clearing surrounded by trees and see four human figures, one blue cat with wings, and one vicious looking beast. Amongst the humans was a red head cladded in armor swinging her sword around masterfully. A pink haired man with a scale like scarf being flown around by the blue cat and throwing fire. A blond woman with golden keys was at the sidelines opening a summoning gate. A man with no shirt on was launching a sickle of ice from his hand at the beast. They all looked beaten and worn down. Their clothing was tattered and shredded. Bruises covered their skin.
     
"We're getting our butts handed to us on a platter by this hairy freak of nature!" Shouted the blue cat with wings who was obviously a freak of nature himself.
   
  "We can see and feel that Happy! No need for your input right now!" Shouted the blond with sarcastic anger.
   
   Snapping out of your amazement at the scene in front of you, you jump into action by charging at the vile beast. The lines on your body started to glow with a blue hue.
     
    Sprinting directly for the beast probably wasn't the best of ideas but your adrenaline was pumping hard and your heart was pumping harder. Raising your fist, you strike the beast with enough power to throw it a few feet back.
     
  It gets up and looks at you with its blood hungry eyes. Once more you charge at it with it charging at you as well. A head on collision of your fist and its claw caused an energy to spike within you and in a trance like state you yell, "Black dragon spiraling fist!"
   
   The attack hit it dead on, incopasitating it nearly instantaneously. The blue of your tattoos were extremely bright now and a power surge was expelled from your body. Sending a shockwave of energy in all directions. Knocking down trees and making your new aquintences gasp in surprise.
     
Turning around you see their shocked faces staring at you. The red head was the first of the group to come to her senses and speak to you.
   
    "Ok first, who are you? And second, how the hell did you manage to knock down an S class beast in only two punches?"
     
  "I'm (R/N), nice to meet you. And I guess I'm just that strong." You said with a slightly smug look.
   
     "Well (R/N) I will admit, you definitely are strong. If it weren't for you we just might be in that things stomach by now"
     
    "Speaking of which, what is that creature? It looks very disturbing."
     
    "Don't know. We were sent out here to put a stop to it because it was terrorizing the locals of this Region"
   
     "Well whatever it is, it won't be bothering anyone for awhile. Oh! I never got name Miss..."
   
    "Erza. My name is Erza Scarlet, and if you look behind me those are Natsu, Happy, Lucy, and Grey. We're wizards from the Fairy Tail guild"
 
     "Guild? What's a guild?"
 
     "You don't know what a guild is? Hmm, I'll explain it to you while we walk back to the village we were sent from. But first we need to tie the beast up and claim our reward."
   
   You happily complied with Erza and helped tie up the beast. You didn't know what it was about this merry band of warriors, but something was telling you that your destiny lied with them and this 'Fairy Tail' guild they spoke of.
