Side Chapter: Day Off

You and Erza walk down the streets of Magnolia on a crisp October morning. The guild had made a unified decision to take the day off, so everyone was either out on a job or at home here in Magnolia.

Erza had her hair up in a ponytail, it bobbed back and forth as she walked. You couldn't help but notice that her hips were in perfect sync with her hair.

She sported a black turtleneck and a plaid skirt while you were in a (F/C) shirt that almost didn't fit you and a simple pair of jeans. Her style put yours to shame.

Erza: Where do you want to go today

You: Hmm... It's early so I doubt many shops are open.

Erza: You're right. Maybe there's-

Erza was interrupted by a small boy running into her leg. He falls to the ground.

The boy looked no older than seven.

Small boy: Sowwy ma'am!

He gets to his feet and dusts himself off.

???: Where did that little brat go!?

???: When I get my hands on him I'll give him the pounding of a life time!

Two older looking boys sprint around a corner, their faces were red from anger. One was fat and the other had the ugliest face you've ever seen.

The small boy hides behind Erza's legs.

Small boy: (hushed voice) Pwese help me...

He tightly grabs Erza's skirt.

Fat boy: There he is!

Ugly boy: So you run to mommy and daddy huh?

The two boys stand infront of you and Erza. They looked to be in there pre-teens.

Erza: I don't know what you boys are doing to this kid, but I suggest you stop before you get hurt.

Fat boy: Look lady, the only people that will get hurt are you two.

Ugly boy: Yeah! Our daddy is in the Fairy Tail guild and I bet he would beat you two up if he was here.

Erza: So he works with Fairy Tail huh?

Erza had an evil look in her eye paired with an equally evil smirk.

You decide to play along with her cocky ruse.

You: So your dad works with Fairy Tail? Who is he?

Ugly boy: He's an S class wizard! Best there is!

You: Oh really?

The boys were obviously lying through their teeth.

Erza: So who's your daddy exactly? Laxus? Guildarts? Mystogan?

The two boys stop a moment before one of them answers.

Fat boy: L-Laxus!

Ugly boy: Yeah Laxus!

You: Odd... I never knew Laxus had children. To think that we're such good friends and he's never told me about you two.

You had a sarcastic tone to your words.
