Lugos stands at the top of the hole after watching (R/N) drop down.
Lugos: They're gone. You can come out now.
From behind a large rock near the edge of the circular formation, a black haired woman emerges.
Woman: This is it. The fate of the world rests on their hands.
Lugos: Yes, and thanks to you (R/N) is well equipped.
Woman: Not exactly. He isn't at full strength. I-I failed you.
She drops to her knees and starts to break down.
Lugos: I asked you to make sure he was ready for this. You succeeded.
He kneels down to her.
Lugos: You did all that I asked you to do.
Woman: What does it matter anyways? It still doesn't make up for my sins. For what I've done.
Lugos: Why do you continue to persist with this? You've atoned. Stop beating yourself up over all of this 'sin' nonsense. Even (R/N) believes that your need for gratification is pointless. Hell, he wears your old cloak around his waist as a reminder of you. You have made an impact on him.
He wipes the tears from her eyes.
Lugos: Child, with out you, the world would already be doomed. You gave humanity a fighting chance.
Woman: It still feels like I didn't do enough.
Lugos sighs and looks over at the hole.
Lugos: The gateway is still open. If you wish, you can join him in his quest.
She stands up.
Woman: Then I will. This shall be my final act of redemption.
The woman walks over to the hole.
Woman: Lugos... thank you...
Lugos: For what?
Woman: For everything.
She leans over and allows herself to tip off the side of the edge.
Lugos: (Under his breath) You're welcome Ultear...
