- Collolal dragon type, much larger than the average dragon

- Blue tattoos running from the eyes to end of the tail

- White specks litter her pupils like stars in the night sky

History:

Andromeda's past is shrouded in mystery. What's certain is that she was born at the dawning of dragon kind and is considered an "Ancient Dragon".

Dragons were created from the Allmother's want for a perfect species but Andromeda was not born like a normal dragon. She was created from a pool of concentrated elemental magic after a ritual was performed using focused starlight to create an immortal living being.

Not much is known about her past apart from the 'Starlight Ritual'. She went into hiding soon after her birth and was discovered by Acnologia durring his dragon purge.

Acnologia forced Andromeda to give up her blood to fuse it with his own to create the ultimate dragonslayer. After a number of failed experiments, a child was eventually born. (R/N).

Andromeda viewed this child as her own despite the harsh conditions he was created under. She would do her best to guide him in a righteous direction so he could protect all living things instead of killing.

Andromeda was partly successful in this endeavor but ultimately, (R/N)'s killer instinct kicked in and he became a menace.

Fearing that he would annihilate all living things, she contacted a shaman to suppress his unstoppable power much to Acnologia's annoyance. The shaman succeeded yet the sleep spell wouldn't last forever, so Andromeda offered to be put into an extended slumber until they day he reawakened.

Andromeda woke up too late to guide (R/N) but he found his own way with Fairy Tail, choosing to fight for the human race in a world deciding battle.

She fought alongside her son and Acnologia to stop the Allmother's extinction.

~~~~~~~Author's Insight~~~~~~

Andromeda was a chatacter I NEVER planned on existing. She was a last second addition in the story when I couldn't figure out how to progress the plot.

Durring her first introduction, she was ment to be a dragon that was awakened by the Allmother's rampage to destroy the world above, notably Magnolia. The remaining Fairy Tail wizards would fight against the unnamed dragon and have a victory of their own but then I started to play around with the reader's parents. I appointed a colossal dragon to be his mother and thought "What if this towering dragon is actually just trying to find (R/N)?", and so Andromeda was born.

I know not everyone reading this story has a healthy relationship with their parents so having a character to show some parental love to the reader was something I wanted to do from the very beginning. Having Andromeda call the reader "My baby boy" stemmed from the idea of an overprotective mother who truly cares for their kid.

Fun fact! When deciding Andromeda's name, I was listening to a Gorillaz song by the same name. I instantly fell in love with the idea of having a dragon named Andromeda and so that's what I named (R/N)'s mother.

In summary, Andromeda wasn't supposed to exist but in the end, I'm glad she did. It gave me the idea of working with parental figures in these stories and because of her, another character in my MHA story was created.
