The Universal Dragonslayer (Fairy Tail x Male Reader)

Chaper 3: Settling in

This will be the last "set up" chapter. After this the story will take off and the adventure will begin. Please enjoy

     After the commotion in the guild hall calmed down, Miajane looked at you and suggested that you try to meet some of the other guild members and make yourself familiar with them.
   
   Not sure who to go to first, you looked for a familiar face to get an idea of what to do.
     
  Scanning the area you saw Grey sitting at a bench. He didn't talk to you much earlier so you never got the chance to get to know him. "Guess I'll start with him and go from there"
 
   You walked up to the bench where he was sitting and as you approached he looked up at you and made a quizzitave face. "What do you need?"
 
    "I uh, didn't get to talk to you earlier when we first met." You nervously scratch the back of your head feeling awkward.
     "Heh, sorry man. I'm cautious around unfamiliar faces. But now that I see that the master and everyone else has welcomed you to the guild, I might as well get to know you"
 
    You and Grey talked for a good bit of time before a blue haired woman jumped out of no where and started to smother the poor man in her chest while she proclaimed crazy sounding things about love. All you could hear from Grey was a series of muffled panicked yelps for help. Not wanting to possibly get smothered yourself, you stood  up and left him to is own devices.
   
   Before you could you get your bearings strait, for felt a small finger poke at your arm. Looking down you saw a another blue haired girl, this one obviously had more brain cells in the right place as she made a proper introduction.
   
    "Hello, I'm Wendy. I heard you were a dragonslayer," her voice was sweet and calm.
   
  "Why yes I am. And taking a good sniff of you I can tell you're one as well"
      
"I'm the sky dragonslayer to be precise."
 
   Your conversation with Wendy was short lived as a white cat much like Happy called her over. You moved on to other members, meeting quite a few including the other dragonslayer Gajeel before you realized that you're still wearing only trousers. "I gotta do something about my fashion statement before people start thinking I'm homeless... WAIT I AM HOMELESS!"
 
  You see Erza coming towards you with what look like keys in her hand. She gives them to you and says "Every guild member is given a room in Fairy Hills. Whether or not you use the room is up to you"
 
   You had a shocked look on your face as she told you this. "Hey you ok?" She asked.
   
  "Yeah I'm fine. I was just thinking about how I don't have a place to sleep but I guess that problem's solved now." She laughed at your statement. "Say I need to pick up some actual clothing, would you mind tagging along to help me find a clothes store?"
   
  She gives you a smile and agrees to coming with you.
     
After a few minutes of Erza leading you through town, she takes you into a shop and says "I know the owner here, I think I can get him to give us a discount."
     
You and Erza looked around for awhile trying to find something that fits your taste. As you were about to give up, Erza calls you over to a stand where a mannequin was wearing a leather like armor. The chest area had a few straps of leather leading up to a shoulder guard only on one shoulder leaving the other shoulder and the chest pretty bare. The arms were flexable looking with leather straps that wrapped around the hand with openings for the fingers which were exposed. The waist had a leather belt that had loops where you could have puches and other items hang securly from it. The entire legs were covered with a sturdy fabric and the boots came up to just below the knees. It was just your style.
   
  You look at Erza and tell her that it was perfect.
   
   With the money you had from turning the beast in, you buy the whole set of armor and put it on in the changing room. Exiting, Erza eyes you up and down then says "You look like a barbarian in that get up. I like it"
 
  The two of of you head out for Fairy Hills, talking along the way, not paying attention of where you were walking. "Is she this social with everyone? She seems to have a reputation of being a tough, no nonsense person at the guild but she's quite ni-" as you were about to finish your thought, you tripped over a knee high wall and plummet into the canal that runs through Magnolia. From above you hear Erza hysterically laughing. "I was going to warn you about the wall but I thought you would see it! I was wrong!" You could feel embarrassment start to creep over the cheeks of your face.
   
  "Oh ha ha, now would you mind helping me out!? The water is cold!" She helped you out of the water as she laughed to herself.
   
    Eventually you two reach Fairy Hills and go your separate ways as for the female and male portions of the building were separate.
     
  You found your room and opened it up to a decently sized apartment that was clean and orderly. You took a shower then went to lay down. Next to your bed was a widow that had a great view of the guild. "Even at night it looks fantastic."
   
  As you started to drift off to sleep, questions started to form in your head, "Why did I wake up in that cave? Why can't I remember anything before now? What are these lines that trail up and down my body?" These thoughts filled your head, and right before you fell asleep, you heard a voice. Not in your head, but in your room. It was quiet and whispy but audible.

"His name is Acnologia. He is the answer to all of your questions. He is your destiny." You couldnt move and the voice was getting louder, "He is what you should fear. He will be your end! HE WILL BE YOUR DEATH!" The voice was gone.
