Lugos has taken many different forms over the years and is most commonly seen as the species that is dominant over the Earth at the time

History:

When the Allmother came to Earthland, she needed a second hand to assist her in keeping watch over her creations. She broke a piece of herself off and diluted the magic energy from the fragment to create a living being that acted as her loyal servant. The Allmother dubbed this creature, Lugos.

Lugos knew from the very beginning that he was born to serve the Allmother and nothing more. He used his powers to contact and communicate with her about the status of whatever civilization he was told to monitor. Lugos never grew attached to any species he interacted with but when humans were created, an odd feeling started to brew inside of him.

Lugos watched the human-dragon war with great interest. He noticed a powerful human with the magic capabilities of a dragon. He investigated this human, who was named (R/N), and kept detailed documentation about him.

Eventually, (R/N) went mad with power and ended up killing thousands of humans and dragons. He disguised himself as a shaman when Andromeda, the mother of (R/N), requested that someone remove his magic. Lugos answered her call for help and put the human-dragon hybrid to slumber.

Four-hundred years passed. Lugos grew very disdainful towards the Allmother and plotted her death with meticulous attention.

Humanity prevailed and drove dragon kind to near extinction. Lugos noticed a shift in (R/N)'s slumbering state.

He knew that the dragonslayer would awaken once again so Lugos finally decided to rebel against the Allmother now that he had a fighting chance.

Along his journey to reawaken (R/N)'s true power, he encountered a woman named Ultear, a time wizard who was trying to repent for her past sins. Lugos saw potential in her situation and helped her on the path to enlightenment as long as she helped him in return.
The two uncovered the secrets of (R/N)'s creation together and shared a close bond.

When the Allmother called for humanity to he wiped out, Lugos pretended to answer her call. Instead, he was putting his final preparations to into action. Soon, the Allmother would fall and he would be free of her sadistic grasp.

I didn't have much to say about Lugos's character. He was just sort of a small supporting character that I pulled out of my butt in an effort to move the plot forward. I wanted to give Ultear a reason to be helping the reader so I made Lugos be her "mentor".
