Chapter 4: Similarities

       This chapter is a little shorter than the others. The next chapter will be longer. Please enjoy chapter 4!

     It's been almost a week since the voice incident. You didn't bother to tell anyone about it because who knows what they're going to think. You've been in the guild for almost less than a week and you don't need people thinking you're crazy. So instead you kept it to yourself and moved on.
      
Apart from that night, your time in the guild has been great. You quickly made a few friends and got to know many of your guild mates. Everyone assumed you were apart of Team Natsu because you hung around Erza and Natsu most of the time. Truth is they were the two people you felt most comfortable with.
 
       You woke up to a beautiful Saturday. The sun was shining and the trees outside were swaying gently. Indicating a slight breeze.
       
  Getting dressed and walking outside, you see Erza waiting at the gate. She developed a habit of waiting for you in the mornings after you had gotten lost the one time you tried to get the guild on your own.
     
"Mornin' Erza. How'd you sleep?"
    
     "Good morning (R/N). I slept well. Come on, let's get to the guild. There's something special happening today."
      
       You start to talk and walk,  "What's happening today?"
    
     "Have you heard the name Guildarts before?"

    "Nope"

    "Well, he's the most powerful wizard in Fairy Tail, and he's coming back from a decade job today. He isn't around the guild often so this is a very special event"

     "Most powerful wizard huh? Color me intrested"

    Arriving at the guild, you could see everyone was extra bombastic. There was an undertone of excitement in their voices. You take a seat at the bar and wait.
   
   A few hours passed before someone busted through the guild hall doors in a sweat, "He's here! Guildarts is here!"
 
    Your heart started to pump fast. You hadn't even heard of this guy before today and even you were excited to see him.

     Lucy, who was sitting next to you, leans over and asks, "What do you think he looks like?"

     "I have no clue," with that remark, you heard a crash come from the wall next to the door. Rubble skidded across the ground as a tall man walked through the freash hole in the wall.
 
   "You couldn't have used the door!" The master exclaimed.

    A scene of greetings played out in front of you. Both your's and Lucy's jaws were on the floor. He looked like a normal guy.

   Guildarts spoke after the crowd around him dispersed, "I see we have some new members," he started to walk around the room taking in the new faces. When he got to you, his smile disappeared and a serious look took its place.

    "Those marks. That aura. That power. How are you-" he stopped mid-sentence. Before he spoke again he clenched his hands. "Who are you?"

     Scared and intimidated, you spoke honestly, "I-Im (R/N) sir"

      He calmed a little after that response but was still on edge for some reason.

      Trying to find out why he was acting the way he was, you asked "Uh, can I ask why you look like you're ready to smash my face in?"

   "You have a lot of similarities to the creature that did this to me," he shows you his chest and arm. They were covered in bandages, claw marks, and bruises. His entire left arm was replaced with metal. "The black dragon, Acnologia, did this to me. It nearly killed me. And the day I return you show up. A man who has some very uncanny similarities to it."

    "If it makes you feel better sir, I use Black dragonslayer magic. See?" You flick your finger and your hand is engulfed in a glistening black flame like magic, "I swear I'm not hiding anything from you. But if you could tell me more about this dragon Acnologia, I might be able to figure it out"

     "Fine. Meet me at the entrance of the woods at 8 tonight and I'll tell you what I know. Don't be late"

     He eases up and walks away. "Did I just make an accidental enemy out of Guildarts?"
