Chapter 33: The Fire Dragonslayer

I stood in horror as I watched (R/N) be consumed by that bastard monster. His hands and head were the first to be sucked in. Next were his chest and his legs. Every part of his body was gone in the blink of an eye.

The thing started to change. Its body shifted and bubbled. A new wave of power irradiated from it. (R/N) was being used as a human battery by this thing.

I was about to attack it when I heard it speak. But the voice wasn't it's own, no, it stole (R/N)'s voice.

???: Do you hear me now creature?

Natsu: Yeah I do. NOW GIVE BACK MY FRIEND!

???: Your friend is powering the perfection that is our body. We have spent the last few hundred years consuming the residents of this long forgotten city so we may become the perfect being the allmother has been trying so hard to create.  Your friend was an abomination to the earth. Now he's simply nothing more than a power-

Natsu: SHUT UP!

I had enough of this thing's garbage.

Natsu: I'LL BURN A HOLE STRAIGHT THROUGH YOU AND TAKE HIM BACK, MONSTER!

I could feel my own magic going nuts inside my body. The skin on my arms and face were starting to tighten. I was pissed.

Golden embers rose from my body in great mass.

???: You can try, but you cannot kill perfection.

Natsu: WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT!

The ground crumbles beneath my feet as I charge at it.

It's body takes the shape of a large person.

Natsu: FIRE DRAGON! IRON FIST!

My gold flame covered fist strikes it's white mask at the top of its head.

It doesn't budge.

???: Pittiful.

It grabs me with one of it's hands and squeezes me. I let out a scream.

???: Now... BECOME ONE WITH US LIKE YOUR FRIEND DID!

My blood started to boil. I was beyond pissed now.

Natsu: NEVER! FIRE DRAGON ROASTING BATH!

I covered my body in the hottest flames I could conjure up. It's grip was starting to fail.

???: THATS HOOOOT!

It let's me go.

The moment my feet hit the ground, I kick off the stone and go straight for the melting arm.

Natsu: FIRE DRAGON! CRUSHING FANG!

A sharp streak of flames cuts at the thing's arm, slicing through it.

The mass of black goo falls to the ground in a heap of smouldering tar.

???: YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!

I see it's body change again. From the stump where I cut off it's arm, a new, fresh arm appears. But in turn his body got smaller.

Natsu: That's it... I just have to keep destroying large chunks of it so it will eventually get so small that I can destroy it all in one go. Alright! I know how to do this you bastartd! Come at me!

It lets out an ear piercing screech as it charges me.

Natsu: Is that all you know how to do?! Charge and grab?! That's sad!
