Chapter 11. Classic

Monday....I woke up to Will knocking on the door. I got up and opened it. "Are you ready to get going? We have to drop the boys off at school to catch the bus for soccer camp. Then I'm bringing you to work with me."

"I just need five" I told him running to grab my stuff and to the bathroom. I tied my hair in a messy bun, with my vanilla body wash gave myself a quick scrub. Jumped out threw on my black skinny jeans and a marilyn Monro tshirt, and red sketchers. My diamond studs and my silver heart chain. Not to bad I think to myself.

I follow Will to his Audi A8 and jumped in the front seat.The boys piled in the back. They looked dead on their feet. We were off.  In minutes we were at the school. The school was pretty big. I can't believe in four weeks I will be going here. I got out of the car and followed the boys to their bus.

Chase grabbed my hand and lead me to where I'm guessing his friends were hanging out. As soon as his friends noticed us, he went to introduce me. As we got to the last of the guys Tyler turned around and looked at me.

"Lani... what are you doing here?" Tyler asks shocked at seeing me.

" I came to see Chase and Alex off." I said swinging mine and Chases hands. Alittle nervous after last night since he didn't say what was gonna happen. I figured I will let them tell me later. Chase just gave me an odd look after I guess my weird reaction. But I felt like I didn't know how to say why I was there.

" It was nice seeing you again Tyler, you guys have fun. I'm gonna go find Will." I said giving Chase a hug first. He pulled me in and whispered to relax in my ear. I nod to him and he hugged me alittle tighter and kissed my lips. I gave Alex a quick hug and left before questions started getting asked.

I found Will easy enough and we headed out. We pulled into a car dealership and got out. It turned out Will and Alex's father owned this dealership together and when Alex graduates from college he is to take over where his dad left off. I followed Will in and he started introducing me to everyone.

"So I figured maybe give you a few lessons after you get your license." He tells me smiling. It makes me excited that he's making plans with me. I felt kinda scared about where I was going to fit in. At least I feel like he actually wants me around. I hear all these horror stories about step parents and parents new boyfriend's not wanting the kids around.

"That sounds great." I say. Will runs into his office and does some paper work and phone calls. A guy not much older than me comes in. " You here with Will?" he asks.

"Yeah I'm just waiting for him to get done. I'm Lani"

" Ok he asked me to come get you and show you around.. So come on, I'm Jake by the way." I get up and follow Jake out. At least Will didn't want me to get bored. He leads me out thru the hallways and into a garage. "This is where I work. I clean the cars inside and out. I do the auto detailing so they look new again. When I'm not busy doing the cars as they go out. I work on other cars of returning customers. I do oil changes, brakes, tires and sometimes more just depending on how busy we are."

"Oh what are you working on now. " I ask.

He points to a 2016 cadillac cts-v. "If you want you can help me clean her for a customer. She's going home in the morning. ."

He hands me a garage shirt to put on over my clothes and then we start by washing the car. By the time Will comes out we finished the exterior of the car. I was rubbing the leather conditioner into the seats as Jake was wiping off the doors.

"How did she do?" Will asks as he looks the car over.

"She kept up, did you just have me train my replacement? " Jake says with a fake shocked expression.

"Not yet but if Lani wants a gig until school starts we can work something out?" Will says looking at me.

"Really that would be cool." I answer with a grin.

"Ok we got errands to run, we will see you tomorrow Jake." Will says as we head out.

Guess mom wasnt kidding..She really had Will bring me to the gynocologist. That was a little weird. After that awkward experience, we went to lunch.

Will said he would pay me for working. He then asked me about my birthday. So my birthday is planned even though my mom wont be there. I'm sad about my mom but Will is pretty great. Even though I have not known him long, I'm starting to feel really close to him.

With that we headed home. When we got there the moving truck was in the driveway and guys were moving the last of my old house in the garage.

I went and showered. We then went and dropped mom off at the airport. With mom gone it was just Will, Nicky, and me for the week since the boys are gone until friday.

The week flew by with working during the day with Jake to hanging out with Will and Nicky at night. I had my friends over to my new house for some bonding time. Nicky's been calling me sissy all week.

We put my birthday party together and with Will's help. I am having a late pool party and bbq with all my friends. Chase and Alex have been texting me all week.

I wake up friday with a big a smile on my, Will sent Nicky to wake me up. I got dressed and we went to the dmv. I got my provisional licence and we didn't drop Nicky off like usual. Instead Will brought us right to the dealership.

There in the parking lot was a pearl white 2015 mercury mountaineer with a big red bow on it. My mouth drops open shocked. I look at Will with my mouth still wide open.

Will looks at me and says, "Your mom said to help you pick out a car but Jake said you have been looking at the mountaineer all week. Happy Birthday princess.."

I jumped into his arms screaming. Excited beyond words and then ran towards the Mountaineer and hugging myself to it. I'm so excited.

"Go hang out with your friends just be home by five for Your party and Jake offered to be your legal driver for the day." Will tells me.

I jump in and text my friends I'm on my way. With MTKO playing classic I have to say best birthday ever for me and it just began. Jake sits in the passenger seat to help teach me how to drive.

With my friends Sue, Leslie and Lyza all loaded inside we decide to head to the mall and catch the new Channing Tatum movie. While discussing being able to take the camping trip on spring break. Have a girls week. I just hope with us being seperated our friendship stays strong.

We arrive at the mall , Jake tells me to text him when we're done and takes off back to work. We start walking around, we have about two hours before the movie. We head over to American Eagle and I ended up finding a short white sundress that im gonna pair up with sandals. I end picking out a new olive green bikini and black booty shorts.

We head to the movie, we ended up sitting behind some guys from school. When the lights dimmed for the movie my bestie Sue started throwing popcorn at them.

One of guys turned around and we acted like we were into the movie. As soon as he turned around, she dumped the whole bucket on him.

We all busted out laughing, even his friends. They ended up getting up to talk to us and we got to watch Sue get her flirt on. She breaks out with a " I just realized you were not paying attention to us Brent."

Its when I realize this is the guy, Sue has set her eyes on while I have been gone. Sue then introduces me and I say hi back. My friend Sue is pretty hot I think she looks like channel from ridiculousness with Rob, but her mom had an obsession with suzanne summers, hence her name.

Sue looks down to her phone and then mines going off. I go ahead and nod to her. Sue invites him to my party tonight. After giving him my address we are off to Sue's to get dressed.
